Construction began on the project back in April 2024. Construction walls finally came down this week, although rolling planters remain in place. Chicken Guy remained open during construction, with limited seating available indoors.

The restaurant’s outdoor seating now has a black awning jutting out from the building. It covers all of the outdoor seating and the front door. The outdoor queue stretches away from the awning.

Prior to construction, Chicken Guy did offer outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade. The new permanent structure offers more shade — although it’s not solid. The black frame features white slats across the top with openings between.

There are two mounted ceiling fans with lights hanging above the space.

The outdoor seating is the same plain black chairs and tables Chicken Guy had before.

The awning is shaped around planters, so one end is slimmer than the other, with two-person tables next to the planters.
