NEW Kilimanjaro Safaris Mug Features Animal Spotting Guide

Keen observers or fans of African wildlife can now purchase this Kilimanjaro Safaris animal spotting mug, now available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The recent offering, available at Riverside Depot, mimics the design of the animal spotting guide visible on each safari vehicle guests take through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve on the attraction. However, unlike the signs on the ride vehicles, the animals on the mug are not labeled.

The interior of the safari bus features an animal tracking sign above the seating area. A few passengers, with mugs in hand, eagerly follow along in their Kilimanjaro Safaris Animal Spotting Guide, ready to embark on a thrilling adventure.

While there are a number of animal spotting signs in the queue for the attraction, the mug seems to take its inspiration from the sign above your safari guide at the front of the vehicle.

In a store setting, someone is holding a mug featuring an array of animal illustrations labeled "GRASSLANDS AND SAVANNAH," reminiscent of an Animal Spotting Guide for Kilimanjaro Safaris.

The mug is in a weathered tan motif, and features a number of animals you may encounter on the attraction. While the animals are presented in a similar style to the sign on the attraction, the animals are not necessarily placed in the same spots. “Animals of the African Woodlands and Savannah” is printed near the top of the mug in all capital letters. The Kilimanjaro Safaris logo is in the center. Perhaps guests can use the guide to help identify the new pride of lions that took up residence on Pride Rock earlier this week.

The handle and interior of the mug are off-white with some dark specks.
