Disney Vacation Club has introduced a new penthouse accommodation style with the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.

Penthouse Suite

About

There are two penthouse options, both of which are two-bedroom. One is the Preferred View which has views of the pool or fairway and starts at 86 points per night.

The other option is Theme Park View, which looks over Magic Kingdom and the Seven Seas Lagoon. It starts at 108 points per night.

The penthouses sleep up to eight guests and one infant (ages 0-2). They are 1,448 square feet.

Living Area – Queen-sized Pull-down Bed

A modern living room reminiscent of a Polynesian penthouse suite features a sectional sofa, two chairs, and teal ottomans around a round table. An abstract painting adorns the wall, with ceiling lights hanging above and wood accents completing the decor.

Kitchen

Experience the luxurious open-plan kitchen and dining area of the Island Tower Penthouse Suite, featuring a wooden table, beige chairs, and modern appliances. Enjoy the decorative wall with ambient lighting while taking in views that offer a glimpse into an elegantly designed bedroom.

The dining area has wood flooring. There is a long wood-top table with four chairs and a bench seat along the wall. Similar lighting fixtures to those in the living room hang above the table.

The chairs have yellow upholstery. The padded back of the bench has a blue and green pattern. The manta ray sculpture Disney previously shared details about hangs on the wall above the bench.

Inspired by Gramma Tala from “Moana,” the sculpture features Polynesian designs and hidden references. There is an upside-down hidden Mickey, Maui’s hook, a sea turtle, shark teeth, spearhead shapes, and more. All together, the design represents family, hence why it’s hanging above the dining table.

Bedroom 1 – King Bed

The first bedroom, featuring a king bed, is off the kitchen. It has a large wicker-style lighting fixture hanging above the foot of the bed. The textured carpet resembles overlapping fern leaves or coral.

The Penthouse Suite's interior features a large bed with white linens and a decorative wall mural. To the left, a window offers sweeping views of the water and surrounding trees, capturing the serene essence of Polynesian elegance.

The sheets are white with pinstripes and the pillowcases are solid white. The bed is raised so there is storage space underneath. It has a padded sand-colored headboard. Above the headboard is an illuminated mural of sailboats with jumping dolphins and flying birds. Lights with wicker shades hang over the nightstands, which each have drawers. There are reading lights and outlets on the headboard on both sides.

The Penthouse Suite offers a serene escape with its bed, a TV mounted above a sleek cabinet, and an open view into the bathroom. The room showcases neutral tones, modern decor, and a subtle Polynesian touch for an exotic flair.

There is a detachable shower head and a waterfall shower head. Mounted shower products are across from the bench. A cubby for setting other products is above the bench.

Bedroom 2 – Two Queen Beds

The second bedroom is on the opposite side of the penthouse. These queen beds feature the same linens as the king bed. Most of the room has hardwood flooring but there’s carpeting under the beds.

This Island Tower hotel room features two double beds, a desk, a wall-mounted TV, and warm lighting. The geometric patterned walls and wooden flooring enhance its modern design, offering an escape that blends comfort with style.

A closet is between the bedroom door and the en suite bathroom door. More wicker-style lights hang above the end tables. Like the first bedroom, these beds have a padded headboard with built-in light controls.

Nestled in a Penthouse Suite, this elegant bed with white sheets sits on a polished wooden frame beside a bedside table and curtain. The floor is enhanced by a patterned rug adorned with exquisite leaf-like designs, adding an extra touch of sophistication.

In the Penthouse Suite, discover a modern bathroom featuring teal geometric tiles, two illuminated mirrors, a small round mirror, and a sleek white countertop with a sink complemented by black fixtures.

This en suite bathroom has a marble top vanity with two overlapping illuminated mirrors set against a green tile wall. This vanity has one sink. The bathroom also has a water closet and walk-in shower.

Bathroom 3

In the luxurious Penthouse Suite, the modern bathroom boasts a glass-enclosed shower, black tile walls, a white toilet, and a sink with a geometric mirror. Plush towels hang neatly on racks, while an elegant tissue box rests on the counter.

A third bathroom is off the kitchen space. It has a small vanity with one sink. It has a hexagon-shaped mirror on the wall above it. Between the sink and shower is the toilet.

Experience a Polynesian-inspired modern bathroom featuring dark tiles, a glass shower door with a leaf pattern, sleek black fixtures, a rectangular mirror, and plush white towels elegantly hanging on the wall.

The walk-in shower has a sliding glass door, detachable shower head, and waterfall shower head. The shower walls are black, with a leaf pattern across the back wall.

Balcony

From the luxurious Penthouse Suite, enjoy a balcony view overlooking a large body of water, framed by distant buildings and lush greenery under a partly cloudy sky. It's an experience that evokes the serene charm of a Polynesian paradise.

The penthouse features three balconies, one off each bedroom and one off the living space. They each have chairs and small tables. The railings have Plexiglass panels across them. We visited a penthouse with a Seven Seas Lagoon view. We could also see some of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Magic Kingdom in the distance.

  1. Real nice to see that Disney is leaving out the “Disney” touch or attributes in their hotel designs. With small exception to the Moana logo in the primary painting nobody would know this is a WDW property.

    If you’re going to pay that much to stay on property, one would expect Disney theme.

    Our fav is Port Orleans French Quarter. The new renovations might as well be a room in hotel in the US.
