The “Trolls”-inspired Poppy’s Playground in DreamWorks Land at Universal Studios Florida is temporarily closed for a refurbishment.
Poppy’s Playground Closed
Ropes with signs reading “Temporarily out of service” are strung between stanchions blocking playground access. Temporary fencing blocks the other side of the playground, discouraging guests from climbing over planters and benches.
There are two construction boxes in the playground, the same color red as the large mushroom in the center so they don’t stand out. These are where there used to be two floral buckets guests could climb inside. One bucket remains near the front of the playground.
Pictured above is one of the construction boxes and the bucket it replaced. The vines connecting all three buckets to the mushroom have also been removed.
The playground first opened this May with DreamWorks Land. The land’s other playground, Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres, was recently closed for a few weeks to add safety railings. Poppy’s Playground may be getting safety updates, too.
