Walt Disney Imagineering has revealed via an Instagram post that some “extra magic” has been added to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom, with the addition of prominent stars in the sky for Ray and Evangeline.
Towards the end of the attraction, just past the finale scene, a miniature cityscape of New Orleans rests beneath a starry night sky. Now, guests riding the attraction will notice two larger stars than others in the sky, representing Ray the firefly and his love, Evangeline, who both turned into stars after passing away.
In “The Princess and the Frog,” Ray the Firefly sings a song about his love, Evangeline. It becomes apparent that she has previously passed away and became the star in the sky that he sings to. Later, when Ray himself passes away, he becomes a star next to Evangeline.
