REVIEW: All NEW Items Available at the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays

As invited media, Disney provided WDWNT with a gift card for food and beverages for the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, so some of the following coverage was hosted. As always, WDWNT will still provide our honest thoughts on the below.

The 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays has officially started, and there are lots of new items for us to try! From sweet treats (like a Spaceship Earth Gingerbread Tile) to savory dishes, and lots of festive drinks, we’re ready to try them all.

*NEW* Experimental Prototype Cookies of Tomorrow

At the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, people gathered eagerly around the "Experimental Prototype Cookies of Tomorrow" stand. A menu showcasing an array of delectable treats was prominently displayed in the foreground, inviting attendees to indulge in festive flavors.

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 30 on the festival map below.

Food:

  • 🆕 Spaceship Earth Tile Gingerbread Triangle – $10

*NEW* Spaceship Earth Tile Gingerbread Triangle – $10

It’s bad. It’s worse than normal. The chocolate is good quality but the gingerbread itself is terrible and stale. It’s cute but at what cost? Oh, right. Ten dollars. Skip this, it’s not even worth it for the photos.

*NEW* Favorites of Festivals Past

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 31 on the festival map below.

A tray with sliders, a side of fried bites with dip, and a dessert in a glass, reminiscent of the culinary delights at EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, sit invitingly on a wooden table.

Food:

  • 🆕Reuben Croquettes – $6
  • 🆕Brown Sugar and Mustard-glazed Ham Sliders – $6
  • 🆕Bauducco Panettone Holiday Trifle – $5.25

Beverages:

  • 🆕Southern Tier Brewing Co. Tiramisu Imperial Stout – $5.75 for 6 oz. $9.75 for 12 oz.
  • 🆕Keel Farms Pecan Pie Hard Cider – $5.75 for 6 oz. $9.75 for 12 oz.
  • 🆕Point Snow Pilot Pistachio Nut Brown Ale – $5.75 for 6 oz. $9.75 for 12 oz.
  • Beer Flight – $10.25

*NEW* Reuben Croquettes – $6

with Pastrami, Sauerkraut and Swiss Cheese with Thousand Island Dipping Sauce

This is excellent. It has some similarities you’d expect from a pastrami sandwich. We’d get these again.

Rating out of 7: 7

*NEW* Brown Sugar and Mustard-Glazed Ham Sliders – $6

with Cranberry and Apple Coleslaw on a Hawaiian Roll

It’s unremarkable. There’s a nice balance of sweet and savory but it tastes like Publix deli meat and something you’d make at home. It’s not worth your money here.

Rating out of 7: 3

*NEW* Bauducco Panettone Holiday Trifle – $5.25

with Eggnog Custard and Cranberry Cherry Compote

The eggnog custard is good. We’re not panettone fans. The more bites you take, the worse it gets.

Food:

  • 🆕Coffee Mocha Cookie – $3.25

Beverages:

  • 🆕 The Bruery 5 Golden Rings, Placentia, CA – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

*NEW* Coffee Mocha Cookie – $3.25

Topped with Coffee-infused Buttercream, Cocoa Nibs, and Chocolate-covered Espresso Beans

The chocolate-covered coffee bean was sadly one of the best things we had in the morning. The cookie was fresh though it had a chalky consistency. The buttercream was off, probably from the coffee. It was strange overall and got progressively worse as we continued.

Nochebuena Cocina

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 27 on the festival map below.

Beverages:

  • 🆕Left Hand Brewing Co. Mexican Hot Chocolate Milk Stout, Longmont, CO – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

    • 🆕 Coffee Float: Dark chocolate Soft-Serve with Iced Coffee and Choice of Mozart Liqueur – $12.50
  • 🆕Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. Bourbonola and Cherry Cola – $12

*NEW* Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. Bourbonola Float – $12.50

with Dark Chocolate Soft-Serve

In case you’re like us and wondering what Bourbonola is, it’s a premixed cocktail of Bourbon and cola. Kudos to Swirled Showcase for trying unique ice cream flavors and dishes. This one isn’t as good as the Fireball and Red Creme Soda one below. The dark chocolate ice cream is fantastic; we’d get it separately.

Rating out of 7: 4

*NEW* Fireball Cinnamon Whisky and Barq’s Red Crème Soda Float – $12.50

with Apple-Cinnamon Soft-Serve

If you like cinnamon, this is great. It’s unique and refreshing. The apple cinnamon soft-serve tastes just like Christmas. This is the perfect holiday drink for Florida weather.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Coffee Float – $12.50

Dark chocolate Soft-Serve with Iced Coffee and Choice of Mozart Liqueur

A tall, clear glass filled with iced coffee sits on a dark table, capturing the festive spirit of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays alongside another drink with a vibrant red liquid.

You can choose milk chocolate, white chocolate, or dark chocolate Mozart Liqueur. We picked the white chocolate. It’s an adult chocolate milk but in a great way. You don’t get hit with the alcohol and it goes down smooth.

Le Marché de Noël Holiday Kitchen

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 18 on the festival map below.

Food:

  • 🆕Rôti de Jambon Sauce Moutarde à l’Ancienne, Pommes Darphin – $7.95
  • 🆕 Bûche de Noël au Chocolat et Caramel – $6.95

Beverages:

  • 🆕 Spiced Cranberry Punch – $9.95
  • 🆕 Chateau Haut Beaumard Bordeaux Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux – $5.95

*NEW* Rôti de Jambon Sauce Moutarde à l’Ancienne, Pommes Darphin – $7.95

It has a nice smoky flavor. The salty ham is overpowering, but it’s not terrible.

Rating out of 7: 3

*NEW* Bûche de Noël au Chocolat et Caramel – $6.95

The cake is nice and moist. The fudge is subtle and it’s a light dessert. It’s a traditional Christmas treat.

Rating out of 7: 5

*NEW* Spiced Cranberry Punch – $9.95

Pol Remy Sparkling Wine, Cranberry Juice, Orange Juice, and Spiced Brown Sugar

This was not pre-mixed, they made it fresh in front of us. It’s light and well-balanced with the flavors of the season. The sparkling wine is prominent and boosted by the fruit flavors.

Rating out of 7: 5

L’Chaim! Holiday Kitchen

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 17 on the festival map below.

Beverages:

  • 🆕Brooklyn Brewery Black Chocolate Stout, Brooklyn, NY – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number X on the festival map below.

Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina

Beverages:

  • 🆕 Ciderboys Cranberry Razz Hard Cider, Stevens Point, WI – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.
  • 🆕 Bold Rock Apple Crumble Hard Cider, Nellysford, VA – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

Shi Wasu Holiday Kitchen

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 15 on the festival map below.

Food:

  • 🆕 Mochi Donut Wrap – $6.50

Beverages:

  • 🆕 Chocolate Nigori – $10
  • 🆕 Sapporo Premium Black Beer – $5.50 for 6 oz., $9.50 for 12 oz.

*NEW* Mochi Donut Wrap – $6.50

A soft, chewy Fusion Pastry served with Strawberry, Whipped Cream, Strawberry Sauce and Sweet Red Beans, Wrapped with “Gyuhi” Rice Cake Sheet

It’s bad. It’s got a very strange texture and is hard to swallow. Mochi donuts are a little chewy but this is just awful. The only flavor is powdered sugar. They covered a donut with a sheet of mochi. It’s not authentic or good.

Rating out of 7: 1

*NEW* Chocolate Nigori – $10

Creamy texture of Nigori Sake and rich sweetness and gentle bitterness from Chocolate

This tastes like sake with Hershey’s syrup. Again, it’s not authentic, but at least it’s decent. The whipped topping adds a nice sweetness.

Rating out of 7: 6

Funnel Cake

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 14 on the festival map below.

Food:

  • 🆕 Gingerbread Funnel Cake – $12

*NEW* Gingerbread Funnel Cake – $12

Vanilla Ice Cream, Gingerbread Crumbs, Whipped Cream, and Red and Green Sprinkles

A funnel cake adorned with whipped cream, powdered sugar, and festive red and green sprinkles rests on a paper plate. The lush greenery in the background hints at the lively atmosphere of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

This is another perfect funnel cake. The gingerbread funnel cake tastes more like gingerbread than the Spaceship Earth tile. Somehow, they never miss with these seasonal funnel cakes.

Tuscany Holiday Kitchen

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 11 on the festival map below.

Food:

  • 🆕 Panettone – $7

Beverages:

  • 🆕 Bombardino Freddo – $16

*NEW* Panettone – $7

Panettone Bread Pudding and Vanilla Cream

Panettone is the gift you give when you don’t know what to get someone and we’re not usually fans. However, this panettone bread pudding is very good. The vanilla cream is sweet and rich.

Rating out of 7: 7

*NEW* Bombardino Freddo – $16

Creamy Egg Nog, and Italian Brandy

Eggnog and brandy should be an easy win and this is. It’s so good. This might be the first time we’ve given to the Italy booth sevens on all their new items. It may not be for everyone as it has a strong brandy aftertaste but we loved it.

Bavaria Holiday Kitchen

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 10 on the festival map below.

Beverages:

  • 🆕von Trapp Brewing Trösten Smoked Dark Lager, Stowe, VT – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

Refreshment Outpost

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 9 on the festival map below.

Beverages:

  • 🆕 Crooked Can Brewing Company Crème Brûlée Lager, Winter Garden, FL – $12

Shanghai Holiday Kitchen

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 8 on the festival map below.

Food:

  • 🆕XO Fried Rice – $9.75

Beverages:

  • 🆕Taro Bubble Milk Tea – $8.75
  • 🆕Lychee Martini – $14.50
  • 🆕Peach of Longevity – $14

*NEW* XO Fried Rice – $9.75

Chinese Sausage, Onion, Green Onion, Mushroom, Egg and House-made Hong Kong XO Chili Sauce

It smells great and the sauce is perfect. It’s spicy enough to feel on your tongue but it’s not overwhelming. If you’ve had a couple drinks and need something starchy, this is your best bet. The fried rice is excellent.

Rating out of 7: 7

*NEW* Taro Bubble Milk Tea – $8.75

Green Tea and Boba

People who like taro will like this. It’s milky and earthy. It’s hard to get to the boba without a proper straw, which they don’t have. It’s a decent milk tea and it comes in a huge portion.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Lychee Martini – $14.50

Vodka, Lychee Syrup, and Vermouth

It’s a little medicinal on the front end. Strangely, it’s bad up front, then it’s decent, but it’s bad again on the back end. The medicinal flavor comes back for revenge. It’s a unique martini.

Rating out of 7: 3

*NEW* Peach of Longevity – $14

Peach Schnapps, Citrus Vodka, Piña Colada Mix, and Orange Juice

It’s almost like a Trader Sam’s drink if Trader Sam bought low-quality bottom shelf liquor. It’s watered down and has a strange aftertaste.

Rating out of 7: 3

Las Posadas Holiday Kitchen

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 7 on the festival map below.

Food:

  • 🆕Empanada de Pollo – $8
  • 🆕Tamal de Puerco con Mole – $9

Beverages:

  • 🆕Holiday Margarita – $14
  • 🆕Coconut Guavarita – $13.50

*NEW* Empanada de Pollo – $8

Fried Corn Tortilla filled with Chipotle Chicken and Potatoes topped with Chile Rojo Salsa, Crema Mexicana, and Queso Fresco

This is disappointingly bland. The chicken is juicy but there’s not much chipotle. The potato is overwhelming in a bad way. With the chile rojo salsa, it’s okay, but there’s not enough happening here.

Rating out of 7: 3

*NEW* Tamal de Puerco con Mole – $9

Shredded Pork in Corn Masa topped with Mole Negro, Queso Fresco, Crema Mexicana, Slivered Almonds, and Sesame Seeds

This is a nice, hearty portion with lots of flavor, and the mole was great. The inside was nice and hot. We loved this.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Holiday Margarita – $14

Dos Hombres Mezcal, Tequila, Cranberry Lime Juice, Allspice and Orange Blackcurrant Liqueurs

A hand holds a plastic cup with a pink iced drink topped with rosemary, set against lush green foliage—a refreshing taste of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

The Mezcal-based drinks here always taste like chloraseptic and they burn like it too. It’s bad. Don’t torment yourself with this.

Rating out of 7: 2

*NEW* Coconut Guavarita – $13.50

Tromba Blanco Tequila, Coconut Water, Guava Cream, Hint of Lime Rum, and Orange Liqueur with a Toasted Coconut Rim

A hand holds a pink cocktail with ice and a sugar-rimmed glass against a lush backdrop of green foliage, capturing the festive spirit of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

This was instant heartburn. It’s your classic watered down festival cocktail. The coconut rim can’t save it. Don’t waste your money on this.

Holiday Hearth Desserts

A person stands by a "Holiday Hearth Desserts" sign at the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, displaying menu options that include cookies, cake, cocoa, and various beverages. Festive decorations adorn the background.

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 5 on the festival map below.

Beverages:

  • 🆕BrewDog Winter Staycation Pecan & Toffee Stout, Columbus, OH – $5.75 for 6 oz. $9.75 for 12 oz.

Connections Eatery

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 1 on the festival map below.

Food:

  • 🆕Holiday Sweater Liege Waffle – $4.49

*NEW* Holiday Sweater Liege Waffle – $4.49

Chocolate-Coated Brioche Waffle with a Flurry of Blizzard Themed Sprinkles and White Chocolate Garnish

It was very hard. We were excited to see a food item with an original EPCOT pavilion logo until we tried it and realized it might have been made in 1983. (This is a joke, but it is very stale). These are usually good but this was terrible. It doesn’t make sense, as we got it early in the day on the first day they were available, so they should have been fresh. A disappointment to be sure.

Rating out of 7: 1

Sunshine Seasons

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 29 on the festival map below.

Food:

  • 🆕 Peanut Butter Cookie – $4.29

*NEW* Peanut Butter Cookie – $4.29

made with Red & Green M&M’S Milk Chocolate Minis

It looks a lot like the Peanut Butter Cookie from the Main Street Confectionery, which we love. It was very soft, which made us optimistic. The whipped topping is fantastic, but the cookie is so stale and dry. The peanut butter flavoring is weak.

Rating out of 7: 1

United Kingdom Beer Cart

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 19 on the festival map below.

Beverages:

  • 🆕Frozen Chocolate Orange Cocktail – $16.50

*NEW* Frozen Chocolate Orange Cocktail – $16.50

Hot Chocolate, Orange Syrup, and Blood Orange Liqueur

This is bizarre. The foam is like a coffee foam and hits strong up front. It takes a while for the drink to come through. It’s definitely citrusy but it’s not distinctly blood orange. We recommend sharing it as it’s pretty hefty to drink solo. A non-alcoholic version is also available for $5.79.

Rating out of 7: 4

Canada Popcorn Cart

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at number 21 on the festival map below.

Beverages:

  • 🆕 Canadian Hot Toddy – $10

*NEW* Canadian Hot Toddy – $10

Maple Syrup, Honey, Black Tea, Lemon Juice, Cinnamon, and Tap 357 Canadian Maple Rye Whisky served warm

This tastes exactly like what you want in a hot toddy and they did NOT skimp on the booze. The portion is barely half full in the cup but it’s only $10. The whiskey comes through at first but it finishes nicely with the lemon and tea to round out the flavor. It’s a great warm, boozy drink for a chilly day.

Rating out of 7: 7

Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company

You can find this Holiday Kitchen at numbers 3, 6, 12, & 20 on the festival map below.

Beverages:

  • 🆕 Merry Mint Cookie Latte (non-alcoholic) – $6.49
  • 🆕 Merry Mint Cookie Latte – $14.99

*NEW* Merry Mint Cookie Latte (non-alcoholic) – $6.49

A Festive Blend of Espresso, Toasted Marshmallow Syrup, Peppermint Syrup, Dark Chocolate Sauce, and Milk Topped with Peppermint Whipped Cream and Chocolate Cookie Crumbs

This is pretty good. If you’re an espresso person, this has that strong flavor and the syrups are more subtle. The peppermint whipped cream with dark chocolate is a great touch.
