Disney Magical Kingdom Blog shared photos of hotel construction taken in late December 2024. The hotel features slightly raised sections along the roof and a porte-cochere at the front entrance. Steel frames are in place for the exterior walls. Compare to concept art of the hotel below.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the hotel took place on August 31, 2023. Sitting on the shores of Wishing Star Lake, the hotel will feature views of Shanghai Disneyland. Its Art Nouveau-inspired architecture pays homage to Shanghai’s early 20th-century architectural legacy.

This is Shanghai Disney Resort’s third hotel and smallest with just 400 rooms. Their other two hotels are the 420-room Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and the 795-room Toy Story Hotel. Shanghai Disney Resort has not yet announced a name for the new hotel.
