Disney shared an updated opening timeframe for the reimagined Test Track at EPCOT.
Test Track 3.0 Opening
Disney shared in a press statement that the reimagined attraction will open in late 2025. They later clarified this to late summer. The ride closed this past June.
Test Track will also revert to their General Motors sponsorship instead of Chevrolet (a division of GM). Walt Disney Imagineering and GM are collaborating on “an all-new storyline” for the ride.
They previously said it would “push innovation forward and celebrate humanity’s enduring drive … on the thrilling road to a brighter tomorrow” and “celebrate today’s innovation while highlighting the past, present, and future.” It will draw inspiration from World of Motion, the opening day EPCOT ride that Test Track replaced.
Show scenes will focus on onboard technology, customization, and personalization, showcasing technological advances, and how our lifestyles and relationships to mobility connect everyone. The ride track is expected to remain the same, including the outdoor trip around the show building.
The new queue will feature six exhibits celebrating the vehicles and people that help move us to the next chapter in our motion journey.
Disney Parks Blog said EPCOT visitors might see cars testing with a new look in early 2025. Take a look inside Test Track during construction.
