A social media video shows the aftermath when items suspended from the ceiling collapsed in the queue for Soarin’ Around the World at EPCOT.
In the TikTok video, user unapologeticallymemissy states “Part of Soarin’ Celing Falls in Disney’s EPCOT”. It goes on to say that it nearly hit several guest and Cast Members. However, Disney representatives have indicated that the attraction and queue were closed for the evening when the incident occurred.

Cast Members were quick to block off the area and address the situation, which we were told has since been fixed.
The Soarin’ Around the World Queue is lengthy, and this appears to have taken place in the early parts of the queue. Soarin’ Around the World is an attraction where guests are lifted into the air in front of a massive IMAX-like screen that immerses them in aerial scenes from across the globe. The adventure takes riders over iconic landmarks, including the Great Wall of China, the Eiffel Tower, and the Serengeti, with dynamic sights, sounds, and even scents enhancing the experience. Originally themed as Soarin’ Over California, the ride was updated in 2016 to reflect global destinations. It combines innovative ride technology with awe-inspiring visuals, making it a guest favorite for all ages. In the past we have seen Soarin’ Over California return, including at EPCOT for the 100 Years of Wonder celebration, and at Disney California Adventure for Food & Wine Festival.
