Disney states the playground, located in the attraction’s circus tent queue, will close on January 27, 2025. It’s expected to reopen in the spring of 2025.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant will remain open and available during the refurbishment. Construction permits indicate PremUS of Orlando was contracted to work on the playground’s flooring while West Coast Netting was contracted to update the playground’s nets.

Kids waiting to ride Dumbo the Flying Elephant can take a breather at the playground instead of standing in line. Their adult will be paged when it’s their turn to ride.
