Disney has revealed an official first look at a new costume and concept art for the upcoming Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away nighttime parade coming to Magic Kingdom.

In a new article from the Disney Parks Blog, new concept art was revealed for a princess unit in the parade. The art depicts a new float themed to Disney animated royalty. Royal couples Aurora and Philip, Tiana and Naveen, Cinderella and Prince Charming, as well as Belle and the Beast dance together in a “cosmic ballroom” with a fountain in the center.

Two figures in light-up costumes dance in a night landscape with a waterfall and starry sky, surrounded by glowing orbs and sparkling trails. The scene evokes the enchanting wonder of Magic Kingdom's Nighttime Parade, blending vibrant allure with celestial magic.

The new parade will take inspiration from the history of nighttime parades at Magic Kingdom, as well as some of Walt Disney Studios’ early animated features. The princess unit in the concept art above is being designed as a tribute to Mary Blair’s original concept artwork for “Cinderella.”

Other animated films that will be represented include “Moana,” “Peter Pan,” “Frozen,” and “Encanto.”

Mary Blair sits at a craft table with beads and materials, her name tag gleaming in the colorful supply room. Surrounded by vibrant hues reminiscent of a Disney Starlight scene, she's inspired to create elements for a whimsical light-up costume.

New photos of Cast Members working on a new light-up costume similar to Blair’s original dress design for Cinderella were also released.

“When you look at the photo [above] of one of the prototype costume pieces for the parade, try to imagine it swirling down the parade route, layers of shimmering fabric picking up the glow of the surrounding floats, each light twinkling in perfect synchronization with the music.”

Disney says that details about the parade’s music and more information will be revealed in the coming months.

Disney Starlight is a new nighttime parade set to debut this summer in Magic Kingdom. Previous concept art has featured a new float themed to “Encanto” and another float for “Moana.” Disney has also revealed the official logo for the parade.

An official debut date for Disney Starlight has not been announced.
