UPDATE: After this report, Disneyland officials issued a correction stating Haunted Mansion Holiday will be open for Halloween.

Disneyland Resort has announced that guests will get to enjoy the standard Haunted Mansion experience this Halloween, as Haunted Mansion Holiday will return a bit later in 2025.

Haunted Mansion Holiday Skipping Halloween

Holiday Haunted Mansion

According to the Disneyland Resort website, Haunted Mansion Holiday will return from November 14, 2025 through January 7, 2026 — meaning that on October 31, guests will be able to ride the standard version of the attraction for Halloween. Typically, the attraction begins its seasonal overlay run with the start of Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort.

This also means that the Haunted Mansion will be in its normal, corruptible state for longer during Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration, which begins on May 16, 2025 and runs through summer 2026.

The Haunted Mansion is scheduled to reopen on January 18, 2025, following its lengthy closure for the expansion of the exterior queue and grounds. An ADA-accessible hallway and elevator were also added.

In 2024, Haunted Mansion Holiday began its run early after the ride initially closed in January 2024. The standard version was not offered that year past that closure, due to the refurbishment and the time it would take to turn the ride over to its seasonal overlay.

The reopening of the attraction later this month will include the reveal of a new Bride, seemingly confirmed by the release of a new Haunted Mansion Bride sipper this week. A portrait of the ghostly figure is also present in the new gift shop, Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond.

Sources also indicate that the Hitchhiking Ghosts mirror effect at the end of the ride will be updated to feature projections rather than Pepper’s Ghosts of physical figures.
