With the absence of Magic Happens and several months to go before the debut of Mickey & Friends Celebrate Happy! for the 70th anniversary, Disneyland has brought back the “Brand New Day” Mickey & Friends cavalcade to supplement the entertainment lineup.
Mickey and Friends Cavalcade Returns to Disneyland
The beginning float for the cavalcade is a large drum with a wooden Mickey Mouse standing over it. This float was previously used in the 2019 Mickey’s Soundsational Parade, as well as the 2013 Happiness is Here parade at Tokyo Disneyland. The music playing for this cavalcade is also the “Brand New Day” theme song originally created for the 35th anniversary in 2018.
Following the large float is a group of dancers. The dancers are wearing the same costumes from the previous run at Disneyland Park in 2022.
A car from the Main Street Vehicles is used to transport Mickey and Minnie as they wave to the crowds.
Mickey and Minnie are followed by a group of walking characters that includes Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Goofy.
The large double-decker Omnibus is used to transport more characters, including Miguel and Pinocchio.
Following the bus is a second group of walking characters. This larger second group features the Mad Hatter, Alice, Mirabel, Jasmine, Aladdin, the Genie, Captain Hook, and Peter Pan.
A final yellow car brings up the rear of the cavalcade. Donald and Daisy wave from the seats out toward the crowds.
The Mickey and Friends Cavalcade is at 1:45 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. daily.
