While not available yet, a pressed penny machine in Disney Traders at EPCOT gave a first look at new 2025 pressed pennies, featuring a new Figment option.
New Pressed Penny Designs
The pressed penny machine can be found in a corner of Disney Traders near the door facing the Mexico Pavilion. The machine is brown and designed to look like the base is carved out of wood.
Two stickers are placed over the payment area, including an “Out of Order – Be Back Real Soon!” sticker over the bill slot and a standard Mickey sticker over the card reader. These stickers will undoubtedly be removed once the machine is fully operational again.
The sign at the top of the machine is blue and features the three pressed penny designs available. The first design shows Figment standing above Spaceship Earth. The year 2025 is written in two columns using the same stylized font found on many of the other new 2025 items.
This machine offers two non-dated designs as well. The second design shows Baby Groot, likely in refrence to the nearby Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction. The third and final design shows characters Ember and Wade from “Elemental.”
The three white buttons below the payment slot allow guests to select which of the three designs guests want on their souvenir coin. The coins are priced at one coin for $1 and three coins for $3. The machine provides the penny to be pressed, so guests do not need to bring their own.
