The refurbishment of Everything Pop Shopping and Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort is almost complete. The shopping side and the remaining seating have reopened, leaving only a few construction walls up in the cafeteria.
Everything Pop Shopping and Dining Refurbishment
The refurbishment began in August. The food court partially reopened in October. More reopened in November and part of the shopping side closed. The entrance archway has not changed but the retro theming inside was refreshed.
The store was colorful before, but the new color scheme is a bit more vibrant. Blue tile floor leads through the shopping area into the dining side. The shelving units are green and blue with orange accents. On one of the first units is an oversized Rubik’s Cube and retro 3D glasses.
The flooring throughout the rest of the shop is light gray with large round sections of blue and orange.
The shelving units are the same shapes as before, with large waves across the top. Between the wavy panels and actual merchandise are new displays of retro props. These replace panels that had vintage phrases like “Totally awesome,” “Keep on truckin’,” and “To the max!”

The old units were mostly pale yellow, with purple and blue stripes above the displays. The actual shelves in these refreshed units have a brown wood finish. They can be moved to accommodate different merchandise. Steel borders run around the bottoms of the units on the wall and the floor.
Sets of funky frames are the only remaining props from the previous design. They feature pictures of Disney characters enjoying vacation, as well as the Disney’s Pop Century Resort logo.

The other props include bowling pins, Rubik’s cubes, and retro TV frames. There are some square stands used to display merchandise, plus twisted stools currently displaying cubes. The background panels feature colorful retro designs.

The cash wraps appear to be brand new. They have white marble counters and brown front panels. Between each counter is a slightly taller rounded element holding the register. These are orange, yellow, and green. Behind the cash wraps are groovy panels featuring colorful stripes. The lights hanging over the counters are the same.
This design replaces the previous automat display as seen on the right. Behind the registers was a facade of cases that appeared as though they held different items. Chip ‘n’ Dale could be seen squished up against the windows of two of the displays.
There’s a small opening in this corner of the store leading into the food court. You’ll notice Mickey ears have been added above each round window of the court.
On the wall between the cash wrap and food court is a black and white version of the resort logo set against colorful curving stripes.
Even the soda fridge has been updated with the blue, green, and orange color scheme.

For comparison, the above pictures are from inside the shop before the change.

The changes in the refurbished seating area are in line with previous updates. As we said, all the round windows have Mickey ears painted around them now. They are different colors, with big stripes and geometric shapes between each window.
The rest of the walls are the same blue, green, and orange as the shop. There are new red chairs at tables with colorful tops.
The floors are now square wood-brown tiles with colorful accents in the corners.
The booths have dark seat cushions with an all-over pattern of colorful retro shapes. The padded backs are blue with green and orange accent stripes.
The bench seats against the wall are orange with dotted gray backs.
A more relaxed seating area has blue padded armchairs around circular tables. On the edges of the space are a few bright green sofas.
The only remaining construction walls are around one of the food stations. We can see that the upper walls have already been repainted in the same style as the other stations.
Below are some pictures of the food court before the full refurbishment.
