A vibrant collage showcases five food items celebrating the Festival of the Arts: a dessert with yellow and red layers, a purple drink, a chicken nugget with sauces, an artfully crafted seafood dish with bread, and a fish-shaped pastry on a striking blue base.

REVIEW: ALL Items Available at the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts

The most colorful time at EPCOT has begun, with the start of the 2025 International Festival of the Arts. While the entire park is decked out in fantastical colors, there’s plenty to see and eat with food studios located throughout. In this review, you’ll find our complete thoughts and rankings for each food and beverage item available at the festival this year.

El Artista Hambriento

Food:

  • Carne Asada – $10.75
  • 🆕 Croqueta – $8
  • 🆕 Natilla de Maiz – $6.50

Beverages:

  • Mexican Craft Beer – $6 for 6 oz., $11 for 12 oz.
  • 🆕 Floridita – $16.50
  • 🆕 Strawberry Fields Margarita – $15.50

Carne Asada – $10.75
Ancho-Marinated Beef Sirloin with Pasilla Chile Sauce, Grilled Queso Fresco, Nopales Salad, and Chicharron Dust

wdw epcot carne asada

The beef in this dish is perfectly cooked: juicy and full of flavor. The grilled queso is thick and pairs perfectly with the queso fresco foam when enjoyed with the steak. The chicharron dust adds to the presentation but adds nothing flavor-wise.

Rating out of 7: 5

*NEW* Croqueta – $8
Chipotle Chicken and Chorizo Croquette in Chipotle Salsa with Chipotle Aioli, Avocado Mousse, and Truffle Oil

There was very little of the avocado mousse. This is a spicy dish, one of the spiciest at Walt Disney World. The chicken is tender. The chipotle salsa dominates the palate and the other elements are lost.

Rating out of 7: 4

*NEW* Natilla de Maiz – $6.50
Creamy Corn Custard with Caramelized Sugar

A dessert on a plate adorned with popcorn and caramel sauce, capturing the spirit of the Festival of the Arts, served elegantly on a black table.

It’s like if creamed corn was a dessert. It’s kind of weird. it’s sweet and creamy but the only flavor here is corn. We wouldn’t have this again.

Rating out of 7: 2

*NEW* Floridita – $16.50
Centinela Blanco Tequila, Citrus Juice, Orange Liqueur, and Grapefruit Soda with a hint of Aperol

A hand holding a plastic cup with an orange drink and ice, garnished with an orange slice, captures the vibrant essence of the Festival of the Arts. The background is a blurred outdoor setting, enhancing the lively atmosphere.

This tastes like Tanf, grapefruit soda, and Aperol. We aren’t Aperol fans. The one Aperol fan among us doesn’t like grapefruit. This drink just wasn’t for us but it wasn’t poor quality. If it sounds like your kind of drink it’s probably worth a try.

Rating out of 7: 4

*NEW* Strawberry Fields Margarita – $15.50
Tromba Blanco Tequila, Dos Hombres Mezcal, Strawberry Purée, and Blackcurrant Liqueur

A hand holds a plastic cup with a red drink and ice, topped with a small decorative umbrella, against an outdoor background at the Festival of the Arts.

This is pretty good. We aren’t mezcal fans but this balances well with the strawberry and blackcurrant. This is one of the better festival cocktails.

The Painted Panda

Food:

  • General Tso’s Chicken Shumai – $10.75
  • 🆕 Har Gow – $10.75
  • 🆕 Egg Tart – $5.50

Beverages:

  • 🆕 Strawberry Bubble Milk Tea (Non-Alcoholic) – $8.75
  • Dragon Fruit Lager – $5.75 for 6 oz., $10.00 for 12 oz.
  • Silk River Hard Lemonade – $14.00
  • Butterfly Blue – $13.75

The Butterfly Blue was previously known as the Sea Butterfly. The recipe remains the same.

General Tso’s Chicken Shumai – $10.75
Dumplings Filled with Chicken, Potato, Onion, and Water Chestnut Topped with General Tso’s Sauce

At the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, three dumplings rest on cucumber slices, garnished with greens and sesame seeds on a rectangular white plate—a delightful culinary review awaits.

Tremendous! They’re sweet, spicy, and chock-full of chicken. It’s a great value, and absolutely worth trying.

Rating out of 7: 7

*NEW* Har Gow – $10.75
Shrimp Dumplings with Pumpkin Purée and a Drizzle of Chili Oil

At the Festival of the Arts, three translucent dumplings garnished with greens rest elegantly on a black plate, accented by a drizzle of yellow sauce, held delicately by a hand.

The shrimp is fishy and the dumpling is too chewy. The pumpkin puree does not taste like pumpkin and the chili oil lacks spice. It’s a terrible dish.

Rating out of 7: 1

*NEW* Egg Tart- $5.50
Hong Kong-Style Egg Custard Tart

A hand holds a plate with a small tart and red sauce streak, reminiscent of the Festival of the Arts. A pink flower and green garnish are beside the tart, adding artistic flair, while a drink is partially visible in the background on a dark table.

It’s served warm and topped with a little bit of caramelization on top that really elevates this. It’s great. We’ll be back for this.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Strawberry Bubble Milk Tea (Non-Alcoholic) – $8.75

A hand holds a plastic cup containing a pink and red drink with a domed lid, capturing the vibrant spirit of the Festival of the Arts on a sunny day.

There are chunks of strawberry up against the Nesquick-style artificial syrup. This is traditional chewy tapioca rather than the popping pearls common in theme park drinks. It’s not the best boba tea around but it’s a solid option.

Rating out of 7: 4

Silk River Hard Lemonade – $14.00
with Vodka, Lavender-Coconut Syrup and Lemonade

This mostly tastes like a standard lemonade. It was way too sweet, though that might be the sugar rim. We couldn’t taste any alcohol or any other flavors from the vodka coming through, only the lavender. The lavender syrup they use overpowers every other flavor in this drink. There’s not a strong lemon or coconut taste to it. We don’t recommend getting this.

Rating out of 7: 1

Butterfly Blue – $13.75
Butterfly Pea Flower-Infused Cocktail with Vodka, Light Rum, Lychee Syrup and Magic Boba Pearls

painted-panda-2020-epcot-international-festival-of-the-arts-sea-butterfly-1-2

If you have never had a butterfly pea flower… then you’re probably like the rest of us. But don’t be daunted! This floral-tasting cocktail is refreshing and not as overly complicated as the description makes it out to be. It’s clean, crisp and hits the spot on a warm Florida day.

Pastoral Palate

Food:

  • 🆕 Pork and White Bean Cassoulet – $7.00
  • Red Wine-Braised Beef Short Rib – $8.75
  • Black Forest Cake – $5.00

Beverages:

  • 3 Daughters Brewing Rosé Hard Cider, St. Petersburg, FL – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.
  • 81Bay Brewing Rosé Blonde Ale, Tampa, FL – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.
  • Frozen Rosé – $7.25
  • A Play on Rosé Flight – $11.50
  • Marietta Old Vine Rosé, Sonoma County, CA – $6.25

*NEW* Pork and White Bean Cassoulet – $7.00
with Regensburger Sausage and Crispy Pork Rinds

WDW 2025 EPCOT Festival of the Arts Pastoral Palate Pork and White Bean Cassoulet 3

This is vinegar-forward to a detriment. It tastes like instant heartburn. The sausage is cooked well but it’s a small part of the dish and can’t save it.

Rating out of 7: 2

Red Wine-Braised Beef Short Rib – $8.75
with Parsnip Purée, Broccolini, Baby Tomatoes and Balsamic Glaze

Red Wine Braised Short Rib with Parsnip Purée, Broccolini, Baby Tomatoes and Aged Balsamic $7.75

The meat was extremely tender, we didn’t even need a knife. The parsnip puree added another great layer to this well-plated and hefty dish. Ours came with two pieces of the short rib, simple enough to split with a friend. Recommended.

Rating out of 7: 7

Black Forest Cake – $5.00
Chocolate Mousse with Morello Cherries and Chantilly Cream

pastoral palate 2023 black forest cake 4

This cake features a chocolate feather similar to what we’ve seen in Peter Pan and Dumbo-themed desserts elsewhere at Walt Disney World. It’s also not obvious from the presentation, but there are cherries inside the cake as well. The chocolate isn’t too sweet, and better than the cake they used to serve at Biergarten. Everything is in balance. The rich dark chocolate in the mousse is offset with a little milk chocolate. It’s a great dessert.

L’Arte di Mangiare

Food:

  • Mozzarella Fritta – $9
  • 🆕 Tricolore – $8.75
  • 🆕 Hazelnut S’more Cannoli – $5.50

Beverages:

  • Peroni Pilsner – $6.50 for 6 oz., $11 for 12 oz.
  • Prosecco – $11.75
  • Moscato – $12
  • Chianti – $12
  • Italian Red Sangria – $12
  • Italian Margarita – $12
  • 🆕 Mela Spritz – $15

Mozzarella Fritta – $9
Flash-Fried Breaded Fresh Mozzarella with Artist Palette Condiments

mozzerella fritta 1

This comes on a “palette” with an assortment of dipping sauces. The green sauce is pesto, while the brown is balsamic vinegar, possibly a glaze. The red sauce tasted like marinara to us. The pink sauce is an aioli. There’s nothing special about this. The breading is of a poor quality. The cheese isn’t memorable, though the presentation is fun. We’d pass on this. It’s just not worthwhile.

Rating out of 7: 1

*NEW* Tricolore – $8.75
Cheese-Filled Ravioloni, Pomodoro, Cream, and Pesto Sauces

The ravioloni themselves are cheese-filled but otherwise unremarkable. The pomodoro sauce was bland. We couldn’t taste any spices whatsoever; it was like plain tomato sauce from the grocery store. Picky eaters or children might enjoy it.

The cream sauce still wasn’t anything special but it had a little but of richness that we appreciated.

The pesto was pretty good. It’s not high quality but it’s definitely better than the other two.

Rating out of 7: 3

*NEW* Hazelnut S’more Cannoli – $5.50
Cannoli Shell Dipped in Chocolate and Graham Cracker, Chocolate-Hazelnut Cannoli Cream, and Toasted Marshmallows

A hand holds a cardboard tray with a dessert featuring a pastry shell filled with chocolate and topped with toasted marshmallows, capturing the creative spirit of the Festival of the Arts.

The cannoli shell is crispy, a little on the thick side, but decent. Putting graham cracker on it makes it a little dry. It’s not bad, but it’s not a great cannoli either.

Rating out of 7: 4

Italian Red Sangria – $12

tuscany holiday kitchen sangria

Have you ever put red wine in the microwave? That’s what this is. We thought sangria came with ice and fruit, but this was just a room-temperature liquid. The flavor was fruity, so it could have been really good, but as it got hotter, it was just too warm to drink.

Rating out of 7: 1

Italian Margarita – $12
with Tequila, Triple Sec, and Fabrizia Limoncello

Tuscany Booth Festival of the Holidays 20191

The margarita was quite good as it tasted almost like a melting lemon ice dessert. However, there didn’t seem to be much liquor in the drink, as we didn’t taste much besides the faint hint of tequila. Overall, this is a tasty drink, but don’t expect to get much alcohol for your money here.

Rating out of 7: 5

*NEW* Mela Spritz – $15
Apple Schnapps, Prosecco, and Sparkling Water

A hand holding a champagne flute filled with bubbly drink celebrates the Festival of the Arts, set against a serene background of greenery and water.

This tastes like alcoholic apple juice in a bad way. We don’t recommend this.

The Artist’s Table

Food:

  • 🆕 Deviled Egg Trio – $6.25
  • 🆕 Chicken “Pot Pie” – $6.75
  • Hummingbird Cake – $5.00

Beverages:

  • Wicked Weed Pineapple Daydream IPA, Asheville, NC – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.
  • 🆕 Swamp Head Brewery Neon Palette Lager, Gainesville, FL – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.
  • Lost Coast Brewery Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Stout, Eureka, CA – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.
  • 🆕 J Vineyards & Winery Pinot Gris, Sonoma County, CA – $6.50
  • Beer Flight – $10.25

*NEW* Deviled Egg Trio – $6.25
Pimento Cheese, Green Goddess, and BLT

At the Festival of the Arts, a white rectangular plate showcases three exquisite deviled eggs, each artfully garnished: sprinkled spices, zesty green sauce with herbs, and crispy bacon adorned with a delicate leaf. All neatly presented on a rustic wooden table.

The eggs are not very large so we wouldn’t recommend this for sharing. They are also weirdly dry. We’re big deviled egg fans and we used to believe there was no such thing as a bad deviled egg. We were wrong.

The pimento cheese egg was the best of the trio with a nice, subtle kick. The Green Goddess egg was a “no” from us. It did not work cohesively. The BLT egg is also a failure. Even bacon didn’t save this.

Rating out of 7: 2

*NEW* Chicken “Pot Pie” – $6.75
with Smoked Cheddar Mornay Sauce, Roasted Vegetables, Pickled Mushrooms, Wasabi Peas, and Sherry-Chicken Jus Served Open-Faced on Flaky Pie Crust

It’s heavy and delicious. It’s elevated. The meat has a great taste, the vegetables are perfectly cooked, and the pie crust wasn’t soggy. We thoroughly enjoyed this.

Rating out of 7: 6

Hummingbird Cake – $5
Banana and Pecan Cake Dipped in Cream Cheese Icing with Caramel Sauce and Warm Pineapple Compote

wdw epcot hummingbird cake 1

This is a solid dessert option. The cake is moist with a nice spice, but the aftertaste is all banana. It’s not the most memorable sweet treat on the list, but not bad, either.

  • Taiyaki – $6.75

Beverages:

  • 🆕 Okinawa Lemonade (Non-Alcoholic) – $6.75
  • 🆕 Yuzu IPA – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.
  • Masu Sake in a Traditional Personalized Wooden Cup – $14.00
  • 🆕 Junmai Daiginjyo Sake Flight – $16.75

Wagyu Bun – $9.75
Steamed Bun Filled with American Wagyu Beef Served with Japanese Karashi Mustard Sauce and Violet Shiso Sauce

It’s not bad. It’s not good, either, but it’s edible. It’s unremarkable, but if you’re looking for a dish with a little protein and substance, this is an alright option.

Rating out of 7: 4

Sushi Donut – $8.75
Donut-Shaped Sushi Featuring Salmon, Tuna, Shrimp, Cucumber and Sesame Seed Over a Decorated Plate of Wasabi Aïoli, Sriracha Aïoli and Eel Sauce

Goshiki 20205.jpg?auto=compress%2Cformat&fit=scale&h=563&ixlib=php 1.2

This was quite decent for them park sushi, to be honest. In fact, it’s better than half the sushi restaurants in Orlando. However, there’s nothing special to it besides the shape, so we’d suggest saving your money for the more unique festival offerings.

Rating out of 7: 4

Taiyaki – $6.75
Crisp, Flaky Fish-Shaped Pastry Filled with Sweet Red Bean Served with Whipped Topping and Blueberry Popping Boba

A fish-shaped pastry adorned with blue frosting and small round toppings rests on a paper tray, capturing the vibrant spirit of the Festival of the Arts. It sits beside a red box embossed with "MITSUKOSHI," creating a delightful tableau of color and artistry.

It comes with an icing, which is unusual. It’s not gross, but it’s bland and the dough is chewy. This isn’t good Taiyaki.

Rating out of 7: 2

*NEW* Okinawa Lemonade (Non-Alcoholic) – $6.75
Lemonade Mix with Shikuwasa Citrus

A plastic cup filled with lemonade sits on a wooden table next to a red box and a small cup with brown liquid, embodying the vibrant spirit of the Festival of the Arts.

This is just lemonade. There are a lot of lemonades at the festival this year and this was our least favorite. It’s decent lemonade but it’s nothing remarkable.

Rating out of 7: 4

*NEW* Junmai Daiginjyo Sake Flight – $16.75
Plum, Yuzu+Hyuganatsu, Sakuranbo Cherry

Three small cups of different colored liquid, reminiscent of the vibrant palette at the Festival of the Arts, are placed on a red Mitsukoshi branded tray resting on a wooden surface.

This is served in a cute little Mistukoshi container. That’s where the good notes end. These are cheap, disgusting drinks. They have the syrupy sweetness of cough syrup. Do not get this. It’s so bad that this is the second only item we’ve ever rated a zero.

  • Hard Cider Flight – $10.25

Grilled Kebabs – $6.25
with Carrot-Chickpea Salad and Garlic Aïoli

2022 Food Wine Festival Tangierine Cafe 6

This is thigh meat chicken, nicely seasoned. The salad is raisin, chickpea, and shredded carrots, topped with garlic aioli. The chicken is nicely cooked. Seasoned perfectly, but not hot. The slaw is the perfect complement with its sweetness.

tangierine-cafe-holiday-2-6693175

The lamb has quite a kick to it. It’s a tender and well-cooked, hearty kebab. Both options are great.

Rating out of 7: 6

Stone-Baked Moroccan Bread with Assorted Dips (Plant-Based) – $6.25

stone baked moroccan bread 1

The orange sauce is the zhoug. It’s tangy and spiced at the same time, slightly reminiscent of a tomato sauce. The chermoula is green, and contains herbs and aioli. The cream-colored one is the hummus. It’s tangy, but still pretty good. If you want a really superb hummus, go to Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, but this one is still good. We enjoyed this, but wish there was more bread to go with the dips.

Rating out of 7: 5

*NEW* Avocado-Coconut Custard Tart (Plant-Based) – $5.25
with Pomegranate Cream and Henna-Inspired Gelée Veil

We were pleasantly surprised by this dish. The tart is a little mushy but it’s buttery and rich. The avocado-coconut custard is creamy and flavorful. We really enjoyed this.

Rating out of 7: 6

Chai Tea-Mint Fizz (Non-Alcoholic) – $4.75
Twinings Chai Tea with Sprite and Mint

chai tea mint sparkler 1

The Sprite in this is very masked. The chai tea is pleasant but we didn’t really feel the carbonation like we usually get while drinking Sprite. All in all, it’s not bad, but also not what we expected.

Rating out of 7: 3

Chai Tea Mint Mimosa – $12
Twinings Chai Tea with Key Lime Sparkling Wine and Mint

2022-festival-of-the-arts-tangierine-cafe-flavors-of-the-medina-7-3527255

The Chai Tea Mint Mimosa was very good, made of high-quality sparkling wine with mint undertones. The most prevalent flavor is the chai, which we truly enjoyed.

Chorizo and Potato Empanada – $6.75
with Turmeric Aïoli and Annatto Aïoli

2022-festival-of-the-arts-vibrante-vivido-encanto-cocina-18-4627167

This is the best savory dish of the event. It is a massive portion, stuffed full of well-cooked potatoes and chorizo. The sauces add a spicy kick that is not too intense for any palate. An EPCOT snack that can be truly filling. Highly recommended.

Rating out of 7: 7

Spicy Ajiaco Soup – $6.00
with Guajillo and Árbol Chili-Spiced Chicken, Potato, Avocado, Corn and Crème Fraîche

2022-festival-of-the-arts-vibrante-vivido-encanto-cocina-1-2840040

Another dish with a great portion size for the price point. The soup has many different flavors with the right level of a spicy, flavorful kick. The chicken is tender. The only problem we had was the potatoes were slightly undercooked.

Rating out of 7: 6

Passion Fruit-Filled Mango Cheesecake – $5.25
with Coconut-Pineapple Cake, Dragon Fruit Gelée and Dragon Fruit-Strawberry Sauce

While a lot is going on with this pastry, we love the way the textures play together. The mousse is airy and the cake is delicate, making a perfectly light dessert. The flavors are subtle but make a nice tropical mix.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Layered Tropical Berry Smoothie (Non-Alcoholic) – $5.00
Wild Berry, Piña Colada, and Strawberry

This gets bonus points for being served in a souvenir plastic cup. For the price, it makes it a great value and allows those who don’t drink to get a nice drink souvenir. The piña colada flavors are. a little more subtle than we’d prefer, but the various berries come through nicely. It’s a slushy so it’s cold and refreshing.

Rating out of 7: 5

*NEW* Layered Tropical Berry Smoothie with Sailor Jerry Rum – $14.50

This is the exact same drink but with rum. However, we could not taste the rum. Maybe they forgot to actually put the rum in it, though it does taste watered down in comparison to the non-alcoholic version. When spending an extra $10 to add a splash of rum, we’d like to be able to taste it.

  • 🆕 Patient Cottat Le Grand Caillou Pinot Noir – $9.75

Crème de Brie en Petit Pain – $9.95
Warm Creamy Brie in a House-Made Bread Bowl

We usually don’t order brie, but this was rather enjoyable. The cheese wasn’t too sharp or pungent, which made it more acceptable. The bread was nice and soft, a perfect pairing for the crème. It also takes a cute picture thanks to the artwork on the bread and the napkin setup.

Rating out of 7: 5

*NEW* Pithiviers de Canard et Volaille, Sauce Canard – $9.95
Puff Pastry with Duck, Chicken, Onions, Mushrooms, Cranberries, and Duck Sauce

A pastry with a decorative swirl pattern on top, echoing the creative essence of the Festival of the Arts, served on a white tray with caramel or sauce beside it, all beautifully arranged on a brown surface.

We give them points for attempting to make the sauce into a hidden Mickey. It didn’t quite work but it was a cute idea. The crust is a little tough and the dish overall is too greasy. It’s a hearty dish and the duck is very good.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Escargot en Chocolat – $9.25
Chocolate Mousse Flourless Cake, Citrus Coulis, Almond-Chocolate Coating, and Dark Chocolate Decoration

This is adorable. We almost didn’t want to cut into it because it’s so cute. However, the flavors aren’t well balanced. The citrus comes on very strong and clashes with the mousse. The mousse itself doesn’t have enough flavor to balance out the tart citrus. If you come looking for chocolate from this dish, you’ll be disappointed.

Rating out of 7: 3

Frozen French Martini – $15.25
Grey Goose Vodka, Vodka, Chambord Liqueur, Pineapple, Orange and Grape Juices with Lemon-Lime Foam

lart de la cuisine francaise 2020 epcot international festival of the arts frozen french martini 1.jpg?auto=compress%2Cformat&fit=scale&h=1000&ixlib=php 1.2

We expected this to be extremely sweet based on the description, however, this was a crowd-pleaser. It’s well-balanced and sweet, but not too sweet where you lose the essence of this delicious cocktail. You can absolutely taste the grape juice in this one. The lemon-lime foam on top was somewhat flat, which was disappointing, but the Chambord is the highlight of the drink, pairing very well with the grape juice. This one gets a big thumbs-up from us.

Rating out of 7: 6

Elderflower Liqueur Spritz – $13.25
St. Germain Liqueur, Sparkling Wine and Mint

A yellow cocktail in a clear plastic flute sitting on a fence overlooking the water.

The elderflower flavoring is a bit lacking in this cocktail, leaving it to taste like a basic champagne. There are so many great beverages inside the France Pavilion, that we think this one is skippable

At the Festival of the Arts, savor a dish of beet tartare adorned with microgreens, mushrooms, and mustard seeds, accompanied by a slice of herb-crusted bread on a pristine white plate.

The bread ties the whole thing together. The beet is solid and you do get a Feta-ish flavor from the fake cheese. without the bread this wouldn’t work, but all together this is really good.

Wild Mushroom Risotto (Plant-Based) – $9.75
with Aged Parmesan, Truffle Shavings and Zinfandel Reduction

A small white bowl with a small serving of risotto.

One of the few vegan-friendly items at this year’s festival, this risotto is phenomenal. There are big chunks of mushrooms and the flavor is rich and decadent.

Frozen Scotch Cocktail – $15.50
Scotch and Herbal Tea Garnished with a Chocolate Nail

A reporter's hand holding a small square cup with dark brown liquid and a nail-shaped chocolate.

There is nothing remarkable about this frozen scotch cocktail. Scotch mixed with herbal tea is a unique combination, but ultimately nothing special. However, the chocolate nail garnish is dark chocolate, and we enjoy it better than the drink.

Enjoy the Festival of the Arts with a delightful fried soft-shell crab sandwich on a bun, adorned with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Presented artfully on a white plate and finished with a toothpick on top, it's an edible masterpiece perfect for any culinary celebration.

The brioche does not hold up. Unfortunately, as fans of soft shell crab, this was very disappointing. It’s stringy, greasy, and fishy with a terrible aftertaste.

A delightful small sandwich featuring shredded salmon, a dollop of cream, and herbs, elegantly served on a biscuit in a white foam container. Perfect for savoring while exploring the Festival of the Arts.

It looks like a Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit, and tastes like it, if the biscuits were scones. We loved this. For a quick bite at a festival, this is really good.

The cookie base is excellent. Overall, this is pretty good. The rose flavor may put some people off, but we liked the way the flavors worked together.

*NEW* Beef Wellington-Inspired Croissant – $8.50
with Creamed Spinach Croissant Pinwheel, Mushroom-Gorgonzola Ragout, Mustard-grilled Flank Steak, Red Wine Sauce, and Pickled Mustard Seeds

It seemed tender when cutting it but it was hard to chew. The flavors are good. The croissant is fantastic. The dish overall is rich from the mushrooms. It’s a shame that the flank steak as poor quality because the dish had potential.

Cast Iron-Roasted P.E.I. Mussels – $8.00
with Sautéed Tomatoes, Garlic, and Fresh Herbs

A white paper bowl filled with mussels and a slice of toast.

The P.E.I. Mussels were undercooked, with many shells still closed. The mussels that had opened up were very nice and soaked up the tomato flavor, reducing the overall “fishness” taste. The garlic toast was very crisp with a strong flavor. If your muscles are cooked correctly, this could be a great dish, however, for us, it was a bit mediocre.

Rating out of 7: 4

Roasted Bone Marrow – $10.75
with Onion Marmalade, Pickled Mushrooms, and Petite Lettuce

A large bone topped with accompaniments sits on a rectangular white plate.

Despite the sensation of walking away from a booth with a Fred Flintstone-esque bone, this was a major letdown. Everything on top is good, but the marrow is flavorless. It’s not worth the money.

Coffee Old Fashion Cocktail – $11.50
Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew, Simple Syrup, Orange Bitters, and Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Decadent Delights

We enjoy coffee-based cocktails quite a bit, so this was also right up our alley. It’s strong but smooth, with a hint of citrus. If it hits 40 degrees again, we’re not sure we’ll be having one, but we suspect we’ll find enough warm days to have a few of these over the next month.

Deconstructed BLT – $7.25
Pork Belly, Soft-Poached Egg, Onion Bread Pudding, Watercress Espuma and Tomato Jam

deconstructed blt 6

The pork belly is very tough to cut. It also has mustard seeds on it. It’s very dry, crunchy, and not marinated, making it the weakest part of the dish. The onion bread pudding is delicious and you get a good amount of that onion flavor throughout the whole thing. It’s nice and soft on the inside but has a slight crispiness on the outside. The egg was cooked well and perfectly runny. The rest of the dish was delicious, but the pork belly was overcooked, which proved distracting from the rest of the dish.

Deconstructed Key Lime Pie – $6.50
Flexible Key Lime Curd, “Key Lime” Mousse, Graham Cracker Cake and Meringues

deconstructed key lime pie 1

This was top tier. A perfect balance of tartness and sweetness, and the presentation allows you to distribute ingredients as you wish. The cake is moist and flavorful, a highlight for us. You get a nice serving size, and it also takes a great photo.

Deconstructed Strawberry Mint Julep (Non-Alcoholic) – $4.75
Frozen Mint and Simple Syrup Blended with Strawberry Purée

wdw epcot deconstructed dish desconstructed strawberry mint julep IMG 6051

Upon the first sip, without squeezing in the strawberry syrup from the pipette, the initial flavor that stands out is pure, overwhelming mint. After adding the strawberry, the beverage changes to something overwhelmingly sweet. This one is a pass for us.

Rating out of 7: 2

Deconstructed Strawberry Mint Julep – $12.00
with Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon

wdw epcot deconstructed dish deconstructed strawberry mint julep with bourbon

The added bourbon makes this mint julep better and more authentic than its non-alcoholic version, though we still find it to be a bit too syrupy-sweet.

A hand holds a paper plate with a rectangular pastry, adorned in vibrant hues befitting the Festival of the Arts. The treat features purple icing, pink drizzle, and red sprinkles, creating an eye-catching masterpiece that delights both art and culinary enthusiasts alike.

It’s very tart. The cookie is fairly decent. It’s the best part of the dish overall.

Rainbow Cake – $5.25
Topped with Skittles Pop’d Freeze Dried Candies

figments inspiration station fota 2023 rainbow cake 3

Don’t eat this before going to the dentist, as this is topped with freeze-dried Skittles. Visually, it’s very cute, like it was made for Instagram. The freeze-dried Skittles pair well with the cake, which is very moist but not heavily flavored.  The icing is where the real flavor comes in, as well as the crunchy Skittles. It’s pretty, and pretty good at that. We’d get it again!

Figment Premium Popcorn Bucket – $28

A hand holds a clear Figment lightbulb popcorn bucket, its top adorned with a whimsical purple dragon figure. In the background, a serene lake and lush trees stretch beneath the expansive blue sky.

This new popcorn bucket is lightbulb-shaped, with Figment sitting on top. The pull string changes the color of the light inside.

*NEW* Figment Imagination Lemonade (Non-Alcoholic) – $5
with Choice of Flavor

A purple cup filled with a foamy white drink, featuring a striped straw, captures the lively essence of the Festival of the Arts. Resting on a colorful surface, it casts playful shadows that dance like festivalgoers.

This offering is unique in that the base is regular lemonade and then you choose from one of eight flavor options to create your beverage. The flavor options are blue raspberry, strawberry, toasted marshmallow, lavender, chipotle pineapple, cupcake, south seas blend (mango, guava, and ginger), and hickory smoke.

We chose toasted marshmallow. The flavor comes in strong but it’s so good. We wish it had an alcohol option because it would be an amazing cocktail. The tart lemonade is there but the flavoring tastes like you actually bit into a toasted marshmallow.

Almond Frangipane Cake – $5.00
Layered with Raspberry Jam and Belgian Chocolate

A slice of layered cake with blue, red, yellow, and natural hues reminiscent of the Festival of the Arts is coated in dark chocolate and served on a white plate.

We usually love this dish, but it was very chewy and dense this year. They ruined this, it’s awful now.

Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese – $6.00

pop-eats-food-10-1

This was basically a homemade grilled cheese, made with white and yellow cheddar cheese on white bread. It comes with tomato soup in a cute can, themed to the Food Studio. The soup isn’t too tomato-y or watery. It’s more like a bisque, with a thick layer of cream on top to cut through the acidity of the tomatoes.

Rating out of 7: 4

Tomato Soup with Pimento Cheese, Bacon and Fried Green Tomato Grilled Cheese – $6.75

tomato soup pimento grilled cheese 1

This dish has always been good, though this version elevates it even higher in our esteem. It’s probably the best version of this dish that we had, even though they’ve had it in the past three years. There’s more tomato in this dish now, having both a tomato soup and the fried green tomatoes in the grilled cheese, and it definitely works. The fried green tomatoes are delicious. The pimento cheese adds a nice flavor to the dish. It’s also nicely toasted. We would return and get this dish again and again!

Rating out of 7: 7

Bleu Spectrum – $10.50
Blanc de Bleu Cuveé Mousseux with Boba Pearls

bleu spectrum 1

The coolest thing is that it’s blue, accented with the colorful pearls. It looks fun, but it doesn’t bring anything other than an appearance. Flavor-wise, it’s nothing exciting. The boba pearls don’t add any flavor to the drink. It actually tastes kind of cheap. If you’re buying it to take a nice picture, it’ll work but don’t expect something that tastes good.

*NEW* Imagination Cone – $6.75
Bubble Gum Soft-Serve in a Lavender Cone, “Sparks” of Imagination, and White Chocolate Wings

A pink soft-serve ice cream with colorful sprinkles and orange bat wings in a purple cone, held outdoors during the Festival of the Arts, adds a whimsical touch to the park setting.

The “sparks of imagination” are Nerds candies. The soft-serve smells more like bubble gum than it tastes. It’s also not very creamy ice cream. The white chocolate wings are poor quality. And the Nerds are just too much with everything else going on. The lavender cone is the best part and it takes a very pretty picture.

Rating out of 7: 4

*NEW* Candy Trio Flight – $8
Dole Whip Strawberry with Starburst Minis Fruit Chews, Dole Whip Lemon with Skittles Pop’d Freeze Dried Candy, and Dole Whip Lime with Chili-Lime Seasoning and Life Savers Gummies

A hand holds a cardboard tray with three swirl ice creams and an assortment of colorful candies in separate compartments, capturing the whimsical spirit of the Festival of the Arts.

The strawberry DOLE with Starburst minis (particularly the lemon) is fantastic.

The lemon DOLE with freeze-dried Skittles is very tart. Those of us that like tart loved it.

The lime DOLE whip with chili-lime seasoning and Life Savers gummies is also good.

The DOLE whip flavor-candy pairings are done very well. There’s something here for everyone and they’re all good choices.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Liquid Nitrogen Minnie Cake Pop – $4.75
with Berry Sponge Cake, White Chocolate Ganache, and Colorful Chocolate Splats

This is a wasted use of liquid nitrogen. The cake happens to be very good, moist, and soft, but the liquid nitrogen is just for show here. They’ve done great things with it before so it was a disappointment.

*NEW* Squid Ink Pasta – $7.75
with Lump Crab, Truffle Cream, and Shaved Truffle

A hand holds a bowl of food, reminiscent of the culinary delights celebrated at the Festival of the Arts, topped with breadcrumbs and garnished with a fragrant sprig of rosemary.

This pasta is nicely al dente and the crab meat is pretty good. The bread crumbs add a nice crunch. The truffle flavor doesn’t come through, which is disappointing. For a festival booth dish, this is higher quality than usual.

Rating out of 7: 5

*NEW* Charred Octopus – $7.75
with Crushed Fingerling Potatoes, Kalamata Olives, Capers, and Romesco Sauce

A plate featuring a perfectly grilled octopus tentacle, assorted roasted vegetables, and fresh herbs is showcased in someone's hand. Against a backdrop of outdoor railing and floor, this culinary masterpiece is a true testament to the creativity celebrated at the Festival of the Arts.

It’s not listed, but there are bits of sausage in this dish. It’s good with a decent spice from the romesco sauce. The potatoes are well-cooked.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Black Cocoa Brownie – $6.50
with Ube Ice Cream, Coral Tuile, and Sponge Cake

A plate of colorful, artistic desserts, reminiscent of the Festival of the Arts, features an orange tuile, a pink seashell-shaped delight, blue frosting, and green crumbles, all set against a backdrop of people enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.

The brownie is a dense, dark chocolate. We wish it wasn’t frosted because it doesn’t need it. The coral tuile tastes like straight salt. It’s awful. The sponge cake is okay, but it’s too sweet. It has a cute presentation and the brownie is fantastic, but nothing else does the dish any favors.

Rating out of 7: 4

*NEW* Butterscotch Milk Shake – $5
with Chocolate Garnish

A person holds a plastic cup filled with pink-orange liquid, topped with a piece of chocolate decorated with yellow gear-shaped patterns, reminiscent of the creative flair found at the Festival of the Arts.

The chocolate garnish is stamped with gears. The shake is orange, which doesn’t scream butterscotch, but the flavor is straight-up butterscotch. it’s intense but fantastic, and the flavor lingers. We wish it came in an alcoholic version.

*NEW* Figment’s Liege Waffle – $5.79

This was very subtle as far as the ube, but at a detriment. It just tastes like sugar. The raffle was hard. It’s okay, but kind of bland.

*NEW* Yuzu Baumkuchen – $5.99
Yuzu Baumkuchen served with Yuzu Curd, Whipped Cream, and Chocolate Garnish

At the Festival of the Arts, indulge in a pastry slice adorned with whipped cream and twin chocolate triangles, elegantly drizzled with a zesty yellow sauce, all served on a pristine white plate accented by an orange rim.

The cake itself is a little tough but the yuzu flavoring is good. It’s not too tart or overwhelming.

*NEW* Imagination Lemonade – $5.79, $15.50 with Vodka
Minute Maid Premium Lemonade topped with Butterfly Pea Tea and Lavender

A pastel purple and yellow layered drink in a clear cup with ice, adorned with silhouettes and stars reminiscent of the Festival of the Arts.

While it makes a pretty picture, it was tart and plain. With two Imagination Lemonades at the event, this is the weaker option. Get the frozen one from Figment’s Inspiration Station instead.

A vibrant Festival of the Arts treat: a plate of funnel cake crowned with whipped cream, powdered sugar, and colorful sprinkles. A piece of pink cotton candy adds a whimsical touch as it's held outdoors, capturing the festive spirit.

We were skeptical, but once again, the Funnel Cake kiosk doesn’t let us down. Everything tastes like it should. However, it’s not anything special. We’re used to more complex funnel cakes during festivals. The cotton candy elements are subtle, making this kind of plain.

A hand holds a tray of fries lavishly adorned with pesto, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Against the lush backdrop and nearby fence, this culinary masterpiece could easily be a star attraction at the Festival of the Arts.

The thick-cut fries are well-spiced and the pesto is well-balanced. All of the individual ingredients are food. but all together they fail to come together. It’s not bad; it’s just disjointed.

Please, we’re begging venues to stop with these over-the-top drinks. They’re messy. However, this is a minor. personal complaint.

We tried the version with Kahlua. The coffee itself is pretty good. The donut is fresh and decent. It’s better than a grocery store donut but it’s just a standard donut. The drink itself is the highlight.
