Two new Dumbo-themed snacks have landed at the snack carts in Storybook Circus for the 50th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom.
Dumbo Churro – $7
Churro rolled in peanut dust, served with chocolate dipping sauce
We could not taste the peanut dust at all. It was just like a regular churro. Every couple of bites, there was a very slight salty aftertaste. Cute packaging, but nothing remarkable here.
Jumbo’s Surprise – $6.75
Blend of popcorn and Twix candy pieces with a hidden chocolate feather
The hidden feather is cute, but in this heat, it can melt quickly. Jumbo’s Surprise is served chilled, but it doesn’t take long before things are starting to heat up. The caramel corn and Twix are a good combination, though very chewy. There are decent-sized pieces of Twix in here, big enough to grab with the popcorn instead of crumbles. It’s a cute portion for a mid-day snack, but it gets messy fast. On a cooler day, we’d come back for more.
