REVIEW: New Ramen Bar Opens at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

A new ramen bar has opened at El Mercado de Coronado, the quick-service restaurant of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

The ramen bar is in the back corner of El Mercado de Coronado. The eatery also serves handhelds, rice bowls, pizzas, and Tex-Mex options.

The “Action Station” offers cavatappi pasta, beef ramen, and vegetable ramen. We tried the two new ramen dishes.

Beef Ramen – $18

Tender teriyaki beef over yakisoba noodles in a rich beef broth topped with a hard-boiled egg, edamame, shredded carrots, mushrooms, scallions, crispy garlic and sesame seeds

A bowl of noodles topped with meat and green onions, accompanied by a spoon and chopsticks, on a wooden table.

The beef isn’t as tender as we would like. It was a bit chewy. The broth is good and the tangy teriyaki on the beef is incredible.

A takeout box with noodles, glazed meat topped with sesame seeds, edamame, sliced green onions, and a plastic spoon. Red chopsticks are placed on the side.

The noodles are cooked well and taste okay. This isn’t the best but it’s not the worst.

Vegetable Ramen – $16

Yakisoba noodles in a flavorful vegetable broth, topped with a hard-boiled egg, edamame, shredded carrots, mushrooms, pickled ginger, cucumber slices, scallions, crispy garlic, sesame seeds and nori

A bowl of ramen with noodles, seaweed, sliced cucumber, egg, and smoked salmon, garnished with sesame seeds. Chopsticks rest beside on a dark wooden table.

This broth could use a bit more flavor. It just ends up tasting like the carrots and ginger, which isn’t great. The noodles are the same.

A takeout container with ramen noodles, nori seaweed, sliced cucumber and tomato, garnished with sesame seeds, and a white spoon on a wooden table.

This is a fine option but we prefer the beef ramen.
