Refreshed chimneys, completed brickwork, and more are visible as crews continue to remove scaffolding from the refurbished facade of The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom.
The Haunted Mansion Refurbishment
Scrims and scaffolding went up around the chimneys in March. Though scaffolding came down from one pair of chimneys in June, it went back up soon after. The scaffolding is now gone again, and it looks like the chimneys have darker detail paint, making them look more realistically burnt and soot-covered.
As previously reported, the cupola at the center of the roof got a new green finish.
More scaffolding and green scrim have been removed from above the exit of The Haunted Mansion. Meanwhile, beige scrim has been replaced over unfinished brickwork. When scrims and scaffolding started to come down from this area on Thursday, it was clear this part of the wall was unfinished.

Painting of the brickwork on the wall above the exit is complete.
In the queue, we noticed two of the canopy supports had construction boxes around them. This is probably for maintenance, not necessarily related to the facade work.
More scaffolding has been removed from the graveyard. We can now see partially painted brickwork on the building.
The pale gray bricks at the bottom of the wall are in primer stage. The bricks above have been painted light brown, which may be the final color.
As we pointed out in our previous update, the slight changes to the color scheme reflect the colors of the ride on opening day.
The graveyard is where signs of construction first appeared exactly one year ago today.
