Third-Party Tower of Terror Merchandise Returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The “fake” Tower of Terror merchandise is back in the ride’s gift shop in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

We first spotted the strange collection of apparel at Tower Hotel Gifts in early December. Though third-party merchandise at Disney Parks isn’t uncommon, these items are odd because obviously based on the Tower of Terror without including any overt references to the ride.

Two weeks after our initial post, the third-party items were all gone except a baseball cap. A Cast Member told us at the time that the items had sold out. Now, the t-shirts and sweatshirts are back.

We still don’t know why Disney is selling the unbranded merch. It could have something to do with the real Hollywood Tower in California or supply chain issues.

The merchandise dropped a few years after Disney started selling Tower of Terror merchandise that doesn’t reference “The Twilight Zone,” likely to avoid extra CBS licensing fees.
