The interior of a spaceship conjures a scene from Rise of the Resistance with a window view of space. A large, restored cannon points towards the starry backdrop, illuminated by red lights, reminiscent of Disneyland's magical allure.

The cannons on Disneyland’s Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance have been restored and are now fully functioning.

Opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in December 2019 and Disneyland in January 2020, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has experienced the same technical issues over the years of operation. The three cannons were intended to move, with the ride vehicles moving to dodge them.

The cannons were not operational long on either coast due to the significant downtime their dysfunction caused for the high-tech ride. Supposedly, Disneyland Resort had figured out this fix some time ago, but it was held back because Walt Disney World did not wish to implement it. At this time, the effect is still not in operation at Walt Disney World.

Watch our video below to see the restored cannons in action.
