Disney and Marvel have announced a release date for the first full trailer for the upcoming “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.”
A trailer will air on “Good Morning America,” ABC’s early morning talk show, on February 4, 2025. A teaser was shown at D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, but the footage was never released to the public. It’s unknown if the trailer will be the same shown at D23 or if there will be new footage.

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is the first appearance of Marvel’s First Family in the current cinematic universe. Previous Fantastic Four films have been released in 2005 (with a 2007 sequel) and a reboot in 2015. Neither of these renditions are considered canonical to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
An alternate universe version of Johnny Storm/The Human Torch appeared in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” with Chris Evans reprising his role from the 2005 film.
The new Fantastic Four stars Pedro Pascal (“The Mandalorian”) as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby (“The Crown”) as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn (“Stranger Things”) as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (“The Bear”) as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Matt Shakman (“WandaVision”) is directing.
The movie’s aesthetic was inspired by “the optimism” of the 1964 World’s Fair, and is described as retro-futuristic and likened to Tomorrowland at Disneyland. A first look at the costumes was revealed last summer.
The film will arrive in theaters on July 25, 2025.
