Disney has announced an official closure date for It’s Tough to Be a Bug show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Closure Date Announced for It’s Tough to Be a Bug
Per the official Walt Disney World website, the final day of operation for the attraction will be March 16, 2025. The show will be closed on March 17, 2025 to make way for Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in winter 2025.
It’s Tough to Be a Bug is a 3D film and live show that’s inspired by the Pixar film “A Bug’s Life.” During the show hosted by Flik, guests become “honorary bugs” and learn how insects survive in the wild.
The show debuted on April 22, 1998, as an opening-day attraction and is housed within the Tree of Life, the centerpiece of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The new show, Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, will feature characters from the Zootopia film like Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and more. The new show was first teased at Destination D23 in 2023.
Additional characters seen in the concept art include Gazelle, Chief Bogo, Flash, and Priscilla. The attraction will also feature an audio-animatronic of Officer Clawhauser who is also depicted in the concept art above.
