TriceraTop Spin is officially gone. The DinoLand U.S.A. spinner ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been completely demolished.
TriceraTop Spin Demolition
The ride closed permanently with the rest of Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama on January 12, 2025. Crews quickly began dismantling TriceraTop Spin but only now is the ride completely gone, no longer visible above construction walls. The ride’s queue was also demolished over the past few days.
The Cementosaurus still remains at one end of what was once Dino-Rama. The buildings of Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures are also still intact and will be reused for the new Tropical Americas land.
TriceraTop Spin was a Dumbo-style ride with a top-shaped center and teal Triceratops vehicles. There were comet decorations around the top and stars on the dinosaurs. One of the Fossil Fun Games prizes was inspired by the Triceratops vehicles. The carnival games have also all been demolished.

What remains of DinoLand U.S.A., including DINOSAUR, The Boneyard, and Restaurantosaurus, are expected to close sometime next year. DINOSAUR will be reimagined into a brand-new Indiana Jones attraction; the Tropical Americas expansion will also include a new “Encanto” ride and a carousel in the fictional village of Pueblo Esperanza. The new land is expected to open to guests in 2027.
