Jungle Cruise Little Golden Book – $5.99

A person holds the book "Disney Jungle Cruise" featuring an illustrated boat with people, a jungle backdrop, hippos, and a parrot on the cover.

The Jungle Cruise Little Golden Book was first released in 2021, around the same time as the film based on the attraction. While the book follows the story of the ride, not the film, the two adults characters resemble Dwayne Johnson as Frank Wolff and Emily Blunt as Dr. Lily Houghton.

The book is by Brooke Vitale. It’s illustrated by Paul Conrad and the Disney Storybook Art Team. It was designed by Winnie Ho.

A hand holds an open storybook illustrated with a boat scene, children, and an adult in a jungle cruise setting.

The book follows three guests — a mom and two kids — sailing on the Jungle Cruise. It’s told from the point of view of one of the kids. They board the Amazon Belle, one of the Jungle Cruise boats from Disneyland.

An open children's book shows two toucans on a branch and a cartoon boat with people. The background includes tropical plants.

The voyage is led by Skipper Albert. The tour begins in the Amazon, with Albert saying, “If you wonder how many birds can fit on one branch, it appears tou-can.”

The book goes through famous scenes from the ride, including a giant python wrapped around a tree.

Illustrated book page showing a boat with five people excitedly encountering two jumping piranhas. Text warns about piranhas. Trees and flowers are visible in the background.

Two piranhas jump in front of the boat. Albert assures the women and children they’ll be fine as the fish are only “man-eating.”

Open children's book showing a boat with people surprised by piranhas and a gorilla near a pile of bananas. Text reads a quote about not making noises like a banana.

As they encounter a gorilla reaching for bananas, Albert warns guests wearing yellow to not make any noises like a banana.

Open children's book showing illustrations of people on a riverboat and gorillas causing chaos at a campsite, with text on the pages.

They come across the trashed camp scene. Albert shouts to the gorillas, “Guys! I told you to break camp, not everything I own!”

The book also features the giant African bull elephant, giraffes, monkeys, and a warthog.

A person holds an open children's book showing a scene with a rhino and explorers near a river on the left, and a steamship on the right.

Of course, they pass by the lost safari, featuring explorers hanging onto a tree with a rhino below. Albert notes, “Rule number one of the jungle: you can’t outrun a rhino! Don’t worry. Those guys will get the point.”

Person holding an open children's book featuring a colorful illustration of a striped boat and cartoon hippos in the water.

The tour takes guests through a river of hippos. Albert says they overturned six boats — and only five of them were his.

An open children's book shows a riverboat scene on the left and two cobras inside an ancient temple on the right. People are visible standing in the background.

Albert steers the boat past the Eighth Wonder of the World — the Backside of Water! They then enter ancient temple ruins, where some more snakes lurk.

Some monkeys are rummaging through the temple and a tiger appears in the broken wall.

A hand holds an open children's book featuring illustrations of elephants in a jungle setting near water, with text dialogue between two characters, Albert and Mom, about the elephants.

They emerge from the temple in the elephant bathing pool. The mom shouts “Duck!” as an elephant sprays water. Albert replies, “No, ma’am. Elephants, not ducks.”

Pirates of the Caribbean Little Golden Book – $5.99

A hand holds a Little Golden Book titled "Pirates of the Caribbean," featuring cartoon pirates on a ship in vibrant colors.

On the cover of the Pirates of the Caribbean book are a handful of pirates on a ship shooting cannonballs. Though the ride has received updates inspired by the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films, the Little Golden Book sticks to just those elements original to the attraction.

Illustrated children's book pages showing people on a boat ride through a dark forest, with a mysterious figure sitting in a shack nearby.

The book is mostly inspired by the Disneyland version of Pirates of the Caribbean, with the boats sailing through the New Orleans bayou.

Person holding open children's book depicting characters in a boat on a waterfall ride and a skull-adorned pirate flag. Text on opposite page describes the pirate-themed adventure.

The young guests (one of whom wears a Mickey ear hat) pass under the talking skull. It asks them, “Ye come seekin’ adventure and salty old pirates, eh?” They go plunging down over a waterfall.

An open book showing two illustrated pirate scenes, one with a treasure chest in a cave and the other with a ghostly pirate on a ship. Sunlight shines on the pages, surrounded by greenery.

They then arrive in the cavern full of skeletal pirates. These include the pirates on the beach and the skeleton still steering a shipwreck.

Two open pages of a book depict skeleton pirates and green aliens in a cave with treasure. One skeleton holds a trident, and text is visible on the pages.

The narrator notes the skeletons are “posed as if they have just sat down, but that can’t be — they look at least a hundred years old!” They come across a pirate skeleton sitting atop a pile of treasure.

The guests sail past the pirates dunking the mayor into a well. The narrator assures us that “he’ll never tell” them where the treasure is.

Open book showing an illustration of an auction scene with cartoon characters, including a pirate and people observing. Trees and sunlight are in the background.

They arrive at the auction held by the “infamous pirate Redd!” One of the guests in the boat is dressed similarly to Redd, complete with red hair and skull earrings.

Illustrated open book page showing pirates indoors, one holding a map and wooden leg, others engaged in animated discussion and action, with barrels, sacks, and chickens around.

They come across the pirate with a key and a treasure map. Jack Sparrow usually appears in this scene but is missing from the book.
