Donald Duck first appeared in a Disney animated short in 1934 in “The Little Wise Hen”. Donald quickly developed into a temperamental but loveable foil to the calm Mickey Mouse. In the 91 years that Donald has graced Disney cartoons, only 2 men have been responsible for voicing the character — Clarence Nash from 1934 to 1985 and Tony Anselmo from 1985 to present. Donald Duck has been featured in movies, TV shows, books, comics, Disney attractions, merchandise and, by special license agreement, as the mascot for the University of Oregon.
