The newest Trader Sam’s tiki mug is the Laughing Lava Mug, now available at Disneyland Hotel.

Laughing Lava Mug – $75

The mug was released on Thursday, February 13. Mobile orders can be placed on the Disneyland app. Arrival windows for pickup are between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The 2nd edition Holiday Rum Barrel mug is also still available. There is a limit of two Laughing Lava Mugs per person, per transaction. No discounts apply.

The entrance of Frontier Tower at the Disneyland Hotel features a blue and white sign against a tall building facade. The area boasts a wet stone path and lush greenery, inviting guests into an enchanting world where magic feels as tangible as the laughter in a Laughing Lava Tiki Mug.

Trader Sam’s mug pickup is usually on the Disneyland Hotel Adventure Lawn. Due to rain, it was in a conference room of Frontier Tower. The mug will be available directly from Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar beginning on Friday, February 14.

Signs outside and in the lobby pointed guests to the mug release.

The Enchanted Serenaders performed in the mug release room periodically throughout the day. There was also an artist signing for the mug in the morning.

The green and orange box is cardboard but features woodgrain designs around the edges so it resembles a crate. The exploding, laughing volcano is pictured on the front. A scared adventurer is on the reverse, along with the logo for artist Derek Yaniger.

Singing birds, inspired by those of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, are on the other sides of the box.

A hand cradles a box, reminiscent of the sense of wonder you find at the Disneyland Hotel, where magical treasures await and laughter fills the air like a Laughing Lava Tiki Mug.

“Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar” is printed on the top.

The mug’s design seems to take inspiration from the tiki totems and volcano of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. It’s shaped like a volcano with a big toothy smile, nose, and eyes. Tropical flowers are around the bottom.

The mug is teal green. The lava appearing to drip and explode out of the volcano’s vent is red-orange with a glossy finish. A macaw is pictured on one side.

On the back is the scared adventurer, perhaps inspired by Jungle Cruise Skippers. He clenches his teeth as the lava appears to descend towards him.

A hand holds a brown ceramic object with a wavy edge and deep orange interior—much like the quirky Laughing Lava Tiki Mug—viewed from above against a speckled blue floor.

The mug’s opening is within the lava and the inside is glossy red.
