Three months before the park’s opening, Universal tested the new Epic Universe fireworks show on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
Epic Universe Fireworks Test
Amusement Insider was among those who caught sight of the fireworks on Thursday evening. They snapped pictures from the Fun Spot Sky Lounge and shared the photos on X (formerly Twitter).
Epic Universe will open to all guests on May 22, 2025. Team Member-exclusive playtests have reportedly already begun and Annual Passholder previews are expected closer to opening. Park operations reportedly took control of Epic Universe this month and the Starbucks in Celestial Park opened.
Little has been announced regarding the Epic Universe fireworks show but we know the peninsula in the lake behind Universal Helios Grand Hotel is a launch site.
As no fireworks show has been formally announced, it’s possible that this testing may just be for the grand opening event for Epic Universe.
A nighttime light show in Celestial Park was also described as “fireworks of light” and there will be fountain shows in front of the Helios Grand.
