The Key Lime Chocolate Chip cookie has been added back to the Gideon’s Bakehouse menu for the remainder of February 2025.
Key Lime Chocolate Chip – $6
Vanilla bean cookie dough infused with Florida key lime juice and covered with chocolate chips and special key lime pie crumbs.
The key lime cookie was last seen on the menu at Gideon’s Bakehouse in August of 2024. The cookie is very similar to the Original Chocolate Chip that is regularly on the menu, but with added sea salt and cake crumbs.
Unlike many other key lime dishes, the key lime flavor in this cookie is more subtle than overpowering. The key lime is clearly present in the cookie dough, but not so much that you cannot taste the chocolate or sea salt. This cookie would be perfect for anyone who likes the Original Chocolate Chip cookie with a slight twist or wants to try key lime in moderation.

Gideon’s Bakehouse Menu Change
The Key Lime Chocolate Chip cookie was not originally planned for the month of February. However, a previous post from Gideon’s Bakehouse announced that the bakery was running low on supplies for the White Chocolate Caramel Macadamia Nut cookie. As a result, the White Chocolate Caramel Macadamia Nut cookie that we previously reviewed at the beginning of February is no longer available at either bakery location. The key lime cookie was added to the menu as a replacement item.
Gideon’s Bakehouse has stated the Key Lime Chocolate Chip cookie will remain on the menu for the remainder of February, when it will then be replaced a new monthly cookie in March. Since key lime is often a recurring monthly flavor during the summer months, we will have to wait and see if the cookie returns again later this year or if it will only be available for a few weeks in February.
The other seasonal cookie available for the month of February is The Eternal Flame cookie. We reviewed this returning spicy cookie alongside the now-removed White Chocolate Caramel Macadamia Nut at the beginning of February. Like the Key Lime Chocolate Chip, The Eternal Flame will be available for the remainder of the month. We also reviewed the limited-time Strawberry Delight cookie that was available until Valentine’s Day.
