We spotted some new scaffolding added to the side of the Mexico Pavilion in EPCOT as construction crew members work on repainting the side of the building.

As we were walking around World Showcase, we noticed some new scaffolding added to the side of the main Mexico Pavilion building, to the left of the pyramid. The scaffolding is metal and has some solid floors near the top for construction crew members to stand.

Scaffolding set up against a building with ornate dragon-head carvings and textured walls, reminiscent of the architectural beauty at EPCOT's Mexico Pavilion. Blue sky in the background.

The standing areas have handrails and are lined with orange, semi-transparent scrims. They continue back behind the tip of the Mexico pyramid. While no workers were present when we arrived, it appears the area is being prepped for some repainting work.

The ladder connected to the scaffolding reaches all the way down to the ground. The door to the left of the pavilion has been propped open, but a black scansion has been placed to prevent guests from coming too close.

The Mexico Pavilion has been seeing more recent construction taking place on the inside, as the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros has been closed for refurbishment since early January. The ride track has largely been drained of water, and the outdoor sign for the attraction has been temporarily covered. The Gran Fiesta Tour is expected to reopen on March 15, 2025.
