Tokyo Disney Resort has revealed more information on what offerings will be available during “Duffy and Friends 20th: Colorful Happiness,” commemorating the 20th anniversary of Duffy and Friends.
Duffy and Friends 20th Anniversary Event
The event will feature many offerings including special merchandise, themed menu items, decorations, entertainment, and more.
Tokyo Disney Resort shares the story behind the event as follows,
One day, after the rain, a huge rainbow arched across the sky. Duffy and his friends hurried out to enjoy the rainbow together, but by then, it had already started to fade.
Noticing her friends’ disappointment, LinaBell blew a soap bubble and showed a rainbow on it. “That’s it! We can make our own rainbows!” Duffy exclaimed, and their smiles sparkled like rainbows.
“Duffy and Friends’ Colorful Happiness Journey” will feature Duffy and all of his friends, dressed in their 20th anniversary outfits, aboard a boat they decorated themselves. Guests will watch a story that unfolds aboard the DisneySea Transit Steamer Line from various locations around the park.
There will also be many themed decorations around the park including festive art displayed in Mediterranean Harbor. In Cape Cod, there will be decorations featuring Duffy and Friends motifs. Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina will be decorated inside and out for the event.
Special merchandise featuring the 20th-anniversary items will also be available. It will feature rainbow and soap bubble designs that “reflect the gentle nature of Duffy and Friends who find joy in the little things.”
Some items include plush charms of Duffy and his friends that depict them holding a bubble-shaped case with “20” printed on it. There will also be regular-size plush of Duffy and his friends wearing rainbow-inspired outfits.
Guests can also anticipate a variety of menu items themed to the event including milk tea-flavored crème brûlée churros that come in packages with unique designs and a special Duffy set featuring seasonal soups.
Souvenir items will also be available, like a special 20th anniversary-themed popcorn bucket.
Special menus and drinks will be available at restaurants in Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta from April 8 to July 2, 2025. Certain dishes will feature motifs inspired by Duffy and Friends.
The Disney Resort Line will feature a specially decorated monorail called the Duffy and Friends Colorful Happiness Liner and day passes will display limited-period designs to celebrate the event.
Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Packages will offer exclusive new merchandise celebrating the Duffy and Friends 20th: Colorful Happiness special event. Details will be announced at a later date, but packages will include Disney character greetings with Duffy and Friends, as well as the opportunity to acquire the bag and “Pozy Plush” shown above.
The event will take place from April 8, 2025, through March 19, 2026.
