Tokyo Disneyland has released images of new merchandise being sold to celebrate the upcoming addition of new scenes to Star Tours: The Adventures Continue. However, several of the merchandise items previewed are old items from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, including Jedi Training Academy lightsabers.
Updated Star Tours Scenes
A new release from Tokyo Disney Resort has provided more information concerning the new scenes coming to Star Tours: The Adventures Continue in Tokyo Disneyland. While the date for the new scenes was already announced, this release confirms that the scenes will be the same ones that have already been added to the Star Tours attractions at Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and Disneyland Paris. These new scenes feature characters from the live-action “Star Wars” series on Disney+, including Ahsoka, The Mandalorian, and Cassian Andor. The new poster revealed by Tokyo Disneyland is also the same attraction poster that was used to preview the new scenes at the other Disney parks.
To celebrate the addition of the new scenes, Tokyo Disneyland will be running a special event from April 8 to June 30, 2025. During this time, guests riding Star Tours: The Adventures Continue will be guaranteed to get at least one of the three new clips during their adventure. Once this special period ends, the new scenes will be incorporated into the bank of randomly selected adventures alongside the older clips.
Tokyo Disney Resort Using Old Star Wars Merchandise

In preparation for the new scenes, Tokyo Disney Resort released images and pricing for multiple items that will be sold to celebrate. Three new pins featuring Grogu from “The Mandalorian” will also be released, starting on April 7. The pin designs show Grogu standing next to R2-D2, sitting in his floating pod, and a cartoon version of his face saying “Wild Child.”
While the three pins of Grogu are all new designs, some of the other celebratory merchandise is actually “Star Wars” items from Walt Disney World. One of these items is this Han Solo and Chewbacca mug. The same mug was already available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, though the price in Tokyo is slightly cheaper than the American equivalent. The white mug features a cartoon-style image of Han Solo, Chewbacca, and the Millennium Falcon.

Two more items from Disney’s Hollywood Studios are these plastic lightsabers. The lightsabers come in red or blue.
In an image showing the details on the lightsaber hilt, the bottom has the logo of Jedi Training Academy.
Jedi Training Academy was an experience that used to exist at Disney’s Hollywood Studios where children would be taught how to wield a lightsaber by a Cast Member acting as a Jedi. Jedi Training Academy was renamed Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple in 2015. Both of these lightsabers with the Jedi Training Academy wordmark were also already available at Walt Disney World.
Special “Star Wars” Film Screening
In related “Star Wars” news, Tokyo Disney Resort has announced the arrival of the new Star Tours scenes will also be preceded by a special screening of all nine “Star Wars” films, as well as “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” at Cinema Ikspiari.
Ikspiari is a shopping and dining location near the Tokyo Disney Resort, similar in nature to Disney Springs or the Downtown Disney District. “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” will be played from March 7-9, and the Skywalker Saga films will be shown from April 15-20. Disney has also hinted that the movie theater will be decorated with special Star Wars posters and play Star Wars background music for the screenings.
