The new “How to Train Your Dragon” Super Bowl spot picks up where the first teaser trailer left off, with Hiccup and Toothless meeting in the woods.

A person rides a large, black dragon through the sky, reminiscent of Toothless from *How to Train Your Dragon*, with clouds and a rocky peak visible in the background.

The 30-second spot sees Hiccup fly on Toothless, set to the famous “Test Drive” music from the animated original film, scored by John Powell.

The live-action “How to Train Your Dragon” is written, directed, and co-produced by Dean DeBlois, who co-wrote and co-directed the original 2010 film. It stars Mason Thames as Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, Gerard Butler reprising his role as Stoick the Vast, and Nico Parker as Astrid Hofferson.

On the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, the inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast, defies centuries of traditional dragon-fighting practice when he befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society.

“How to Train Your Dragon” will be in theaters on June 13, 2025.
