The top of Snow White’s wishing well at Disneyland Park is gone — on Valentine’s Day.

Disney has removed the green roof that usually sits above the well. The support poles and stone base are still in place, leaving the well looking unfinished.

There are small brown boxes atop the supports, attempting to cover the exposed hardware.

The roof’s removal is presumably part of a refurbishment, but it’s unfortunate timing, considering the well is a popular couples’ Valentine’s Day photo spot. Below is what the wishing well usually looks like.

The well is modeled after the well from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Cinderella and the Evil Queen sometimes appear near the well at Disneyland, which is part of the Snow White Grotto. It’s to the east of Sleeping Beauty Castle, with statues of Snow and the dwarfs on the nearby rockwork.
