A new casting call posted by Disney has spoiled the return of the fan-favorite Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular show for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2025.

The new casting notice was posted by Disney on the official Disney Auditions page of the Disney Careers website. The description for the posting reads:
Disney Live Entertainment is seeking a variety of diverse dancers who are local to Central Florida for Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, performed at the Magic Kingdom Park at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, FL.
The mischievous Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” return to the mortal world during the Halloween season. With only a few hours to run amuck, the three sisters use their magic to throw the best, most evil Halloween party this side of the graveyard!
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular will be presented exclusively during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Event held select nights at the Magic Kingdom Park from August – October 2025. Rehearsals will begin in mid-July. Must have full availability August – October 31, 2025.
This post is for dancers who will perform during the show, though the website has a similar announcement listed for Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular vocalists. The vocalist application is specifically auditioning individuals for all three of the Sanderson Sisters, and applicants must be able to perform a physical and vocal impersonation of either Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, or Kathy Najimy.
Both opportunities are allowing online audition materials and will be accepting submissions through April 11, 2015. All applicants must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
These announcements confirm that Disney has already begun the process of preparing the Spelltacular to return for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2025. The show involves the Sanderson Sisters summoning classic Disney Villains to help with their “Party Potion” and features appearances by Oogie Boogie, Dr. Facilier, and more. The show first debuted in 2015 and has been a staple entertainment offering of the Halloween party every year since.
