The runDisney virtual series is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2025. To celebrate, Disney has announced that the theme for this summer’s Virtual Series will be Disney Park Attractions.
2025 runDisney Virtual Series
The runDisney Virtual Series is an at-home event that allows you to run at your own pace in your own space. It will take place from June 1 to August 31, 2025.
Virtual 5K: Pirates of the Caribbean
The virtual 5K will be themed to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.
Yo ho, yo ho! A pirate’s life for you awaits as you steer your course of 3.1-miles. Whether you jog, walk, or run — it’s sure to be a great time of swashbuckling fun.
Art of the finisher medal was also released, which features a gray scroll anchored by two crossed swords. An island is on the front, with the Pirates of the Caribbean 5K wordmark, a skull and crossbones, and a pirate ship.
Virtual 5K: Jungle Cruise

The second 5K virtual race celebrates the Jungle Cruise.
Cast off on your own tour as you chart a 3.1-mile course of high adventure, honoring the classic Jungle Cruise attraction at Disney Parks.
Art of the finisher medal features a ship’s wheel with a Jungle Cruise boat above the race’s wordmark.
Virtual 5K: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

The third virtual 5K race pays tribute to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
It’s time to train! Speed through your own caverns as you take on 3.1 miles of the wildest race in the wilderness.
The finisher medal for this race features the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad engine, along with cacti and a goat.
Virtual Challenge: Happily Ever After

Those who register for all three races receive a fourth Challenge medal that is themed to the nighttime fireworks show “Happily Ever After” at Magic Kingdom.
The virtual challenge medal is gold with blue and white accents and features a stylized Cinderella Castle with fireworks in the sky and the wordmark for the Happily Ever After nighttime spectacular, as well as “2025.”
Registration for the runDisney Virtual Series opens on April 1, 2025.
