Disney’s ‘Percy Jackson’ Wins 8 Emmys at Third Annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards

The Disney+ series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” brought home a total of eight Emmys from the third annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards.

According to Variety, “Percy Jackson” won eight total Emmy awards which is the most of any title. The series won in the categories of writing for a young teen series, directing for a single-camera live-action program, editing for a single-camera live-action program, visual effects for a live-action program, show open, casting for a live-action program, and music direction for a live-action program.

The Children’s & Family Emmy Awards began in 2022. They were previously held in December but moved to March for this year’s awards show.

“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” will be receiving a third season with season 2 set to release in December 2025. The series stars Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, a young boy who learns he’s the demigod son of Poseidon.

The series broke records, quickly becoming “the top Disney Branded Television premiere of all time.” The first season premiered in December 2023.
