Construction continues at the currently closed On Location shop, with cement and spackle added to the exterior.
On Location Shop Construction
The On Location shop at Universal Studios Florida closed earlier this year. Since then, construction walls have surrounded the store.
In our last update, we reported that signage was removed from the exterior and the interior had started to be gutted. Part of the exterior facade had also been removed, revealing structural elements underneath.
Since then, those areas have been spackled and filled in, leaving white patches across the building’s exterior.

For comparison, the photo above on the left shows the exterior before the areas were filled in, while the photo on the right displays the exterior after.
In the area that was gutted, cement has now been added, patching up the large hole in the wall beneath lighting fixtures that remain in place.
The On Location shop sold hats, sunglasses, and suncare products. It also served as a My Universal Photo pick-up location. Since the closer, it has been removed from Universal’s website as well as the Universal Orlando Resort app. It is unclear if the location will return once refurbishment is complete, or if the venue will become something new.
