Walt Disney World has received two new plush journals themed to Figment and Lotso. We found the new journals at Beverly Sunset Boutique in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and World of Disney in Disney Springs.
Figment Plush Journal – $29.99
The first new plush journal is themed to our beloved purple dragon. The front cover is bright purple and has an image of Figment’s face sewn on the top. The images include Figment’s yellow eyes, black nostrils, and the outline of his snout. Pink fabric is sued to represent his round belly. Both of Figment’s orange horns are also sticking out from the top of the cover.
The back of the journal is covered in more of the plush, fluffy material. Small orange spots lead from the top all the way down to Figment’s pointed tail, which is also 3D and sticks out from the back. Figment’s orange wings are sewn on the back cover, sticking out on either side of the spine.
The fluffy purple fabric basically acts as a book cover for what is otherwise a standard hard journal.
While the interior may be more of a standard journal, the pages are still Figment-themed. The top corner of each page has the purple outline of Figment’s head printed across from the writing lines.
Lotso Plush Journal – $29.99
The second plush journal follows a similar style as the Figment journal, with the front and back covers wrapped in fluffy fabric. This journal is inspired by Lotso the bear, so it is mostly hot pink. Lotso’s brown eyes are stitched below 3D eyebrows and rounded ears that stick up over the top. Other features include a tan circle for Lotso’s belly and a second circle for his snout.
The back of the Lotso journal is mostly plain, but his nubby tail does stick up from the flat fabric.
While Lotso doesn’t have any wings or features to stick out on the sides of the journal, the back does include a white “Lotso” tag that one would normally find on the back of a branded plush. The tag shows the bear sitting inside a pink, heart-shaped frame.
As with Figment, the plush material wraps around the harder interior cover of the journal like a book jacket.
Each lined page of the journal has an icon of Lotso’s head surrounded by white flowers and a strawberry. The lines on the pages also change color to match the character. While the lines in the Figment journal were purple, the lines in the Lotso journal are pink.
The design of the Figment plush journal also matches the style of several more Figment items made with similar fluffy fabric, including a fuzzy Figment hip bag and a Figment baseball cap.
