Construction work is still underway at Tortuga Tavern as Disney works to replace the flooring of the quick-service restaurant.
Tortuga Tavern Construction
During our last update, we reported on the flooring being removed from the last remaining section of Tortuga Tavern. There was also a section of new flooring that had been covered with a painted board for unknown reasons.
Part of the board has been removed from around the poles revealing the red brick once more.
It appears that some work has been done on the area of the red brick as there are loose pieces of red rubble atop the brick and the board.
The area remains roped off from guests as Disney continues to work on the flooring.
Peeking through the shrubs, you can see that work is continuing on the remaining flooring of the quick-service restaurant.
New brick flooring has been laid in the area. The surrounding poles remain covered with plastic and red tape.
Tortuga Tavern typically operates seasonally and has been closed since June 2024. A reopening date has yet to be announced.
Across the way from Tortuga Tavern, construction work continues on the Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge.

Construction walls remain in place as Disney works to transform the former Pirates League space.
Walt Disney Imagineering recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at the progress of the lounge and spoke on what to expect when the space finally opens later this year. The new lounge will “welcome pirates of all ages with a sea-worthy selection of grogs and grub, and strike me colors, there may be more than a few mysterious surprises in store!”
