PHOTO REPORT: Magic Kingdom 3/6/2025 (Dinoland Update, Magic Kingdom Moments, and More)

Howdy! Today was a much-needed relaxing day in Magic Kingdom. After the hustle and bustle of the Flower and Garden Festival in EPCOT yesterday, I decided to start my morning with the destruction of Dino-Rama, then spent the rest of the afternoon in Magic Kingdom.

Good Morning from Disney’s Animal Kingdom

A crowd strolls towards the Tree of Life at the theme park, under a clear blue sky, relishing one of those Magic Kingdom moments.

Good morning from Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where the weather has, yet again, chilled. It was a bit crowded in Animal Kingdom this morning at rope drop but most of these guests turned left toward Pandora World of Avatar.

Dino-Rama Destruction

Green construction barriers envelop an area in a park reminiscent of a Magic Kingdom moment, with trees and a clear blue sky overhead. People stroll nearby, trash bins lining the path along the barriers.

It is with a heavy heart that I report to you that Dino-Rama is one billboard away from being completely demolished. The Cementosaurous that once stood proudly at the back of Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama is gone.

As always, be sure to stay tuned to our website as more details emerge as destruction becomes construction.

Private Monorail to Magic Kingdom

The interior of the empty monorail car, reminiscent of Magic Kingdom's charm, showcases teal and white hues, with a central bench seat and vertical metal poles.

After Animal Kingdom, I drove to Magic Kingdom and hopped on the monorail. I was shocked that the final cabin was empty, but I was super grateful for the peace.

Good Morning from Magic Kingdom

A crowd strolls toward the iconic castle of Magic Kingdom, surrounded by vibrant buildings and fluttering flags under a clear blue sky.

The Premier Pass was sold out for Magic Kingdom today, so I fully expected it to be a bit crowded. It wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t empty. I decided to start my Magic Kingdom day with a bit of shopping.

Emporium Finds

A floral Disney pouch, a blue Mickey and Minnie shirt, and the Emporium building exterior basking in Magic Kingdom Moments under a blue sky.

In the Emporium, I found a new belt bag featuring a spring design and embroidered details. “You had me at Walt Disney World” is embroidered on the front in gold. The belt bag is perfect for the Flower and Garden Festival over at EPCOT, and is available for $29.99. I especially love that the inside and hardware of the bag are a complimentary purple shade.

There is also a plethora of new youth t-shirts available in the Emporium. Disney has a deal on youth t-shirts where they are available for $21.99 for one or $17.99 each when you buy two. My favorite new youth shirt is this purple shirt featuring Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck.

Confectionery Finds

Amidst the pastry display, savor a Magic Kingdom moment with desserts like a pancake drizzled in chocolate sauce and nuts for $5.99. Adjacent shelves brim with assorted packaged delights, offering a sweet escape reminiscent of enchanted adventures.

I am always tempted by the many corners in the confectionery. The Alice in Wonderland tea is enticing, especially with some of the newer packaging. The most important section of the shop is the center display case area. I found a new Twix caramel chocolate sugar cookie available for $5.99. Today was the first day it was available.

Is this a confection you would try? Let me know in the comments below.

Crystal Arts Finds

Two crystal animal figurines sparkle like Magic Kingdom Moments; a cat with a blue ball labeled "280" on the left and a dog with a red collar labeled "330" on the right, set against a lush green background.

In Crystal Arts I found two new Swarovski figures available. There was a small Marie from ‘Aristocats’ for $280.00 and a Dalmatian puppy for $330.00. I love these tiny Swarovski figures, especially under the display lights.

Rapunzel Restroom Painting

A vibrant mural adorned with yellow flowers and swirling purple patterns graces the wall and ground. Beside a poster for "Hookhand at the Piano," a hint of Magic Kingdom Moments comes alive, sketched in every brushstroke, with a person's legs adding life to the scene.

It was only a few weeks ago that Disney helped Rapunzel refresh the painting on the ground leading to the women’s restroom. Unfortunately, between excited guests walking on it and just the normal wear and tear of existing in Florida, the paint is already chipping.

Moment of Reflection

A steamboat sails on a river, the Magic Kingdom towering majestically in the background, surrounded by an enchanting tapestry of trees and buildings under a clear blue sky.

This is one of those views I think I will really miss as construction begins in the area. Eventually, the riverboat will be removed, and Tom Sawyer Island will be gone. How different this location will look in a few years. Luckily, we will always have Cinderella Castle.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Updates

Collage of Magic Kingdom moments: guests on a train ride, workers maintaining a ride, a steamboat, and rocky attractions by water.

I love that I get to ride the train and the riverboat when I cover Magic Kingdom. Both have great views of Big Thunder Mountain. To be honest, there wasn’t anything too exciting going on this afternoon, but the crews were present and working.

Tron Umbrellas Secured

Composite image of three views: two of a rope labeled "UNVISIONED" around beige umbrellas, and one wide shot showing people gathered outside with similar umbrellas enjoying Magic Kingdom moments on a sunny day.

When I walked up to the Tron queue, I noticed that the umbrellas were secured down. Disney is known for using zipties to hold umbrellas down, but there was something different on some of these umbrellas.

Some of these umbrellas were tied using simple built-in ties, but others had not only the built-in ties but a black band on top of that.

Tron – Team Green

Left: Illustration of a futuristic engineer in a high-tech suit. Right: Text about MOTO, an Integrated Systems Engineer, maintaining networks for Team Green's fleet amidst the Dinoland Update.

No updates with Team Green at Tron Lightcycle Run, unfortunately. Moto is my favorite member of Team Green for no reason other than the typo that has lived there since opening day. It’s infuriating to me, and how does it just live there without being resolved and fixed?

RESTOCK!

A person holds small plush toys of a green frog and a red crab in a store. The shelves are filled with similar stuffed animals in the background, capturing one of those Magic Kingdom moments where every detail delights.

Pascal and Sebastian shoulder plushes have been restocked in Star Traders in Magic Kingdom. Each of these shoulder pals are available for $24.99 which is a bit more expensive than when Pascal originally arrived. Back in 2020, Pascal cost $19.99.

Tomorrowland Speedway Driver’s License Photos Reopen

People outside a photo booth for driver's license pictures at an amusement park enjoy Magic Kingdom moments. Signs read "Been there, done that. Got my driver's license." and "Tomorrowland Speedway.

During my last visit to Magic Kingdom, the Driver’s License Photo booths were not operating due to a small power outage. I was excited to not only see the booths were working again, but there was a line forming to create a personalized license.

Tram Time

Amidst the clear blue sky, a solitary worker can be spotted in an empty outdoor transportation area, where structures labeled "73" and metal bars hint at upcoming changes, reminiscent of a Dinoland update.

Depending on the day, the tram ride back to the car is either your favorite ride of the day or your least favorite; either way, it is faster than walking from the tests I’ve done over the past two years. And it is an inevitable fact that you can’t stay in Disney World forever, eventually, we all have to go home.

I hope you enjoyed our morning in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. The moment that was most surprising to me today was seeing that Cementosaurous was finally demolished. Let me know if there is anything you’d like to see more of from these photo reports in the comments below. I do hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.
