Howdy! Today was an unexpected shopping spree with a ton of new Disney merchandise that is cute and trendy. Unfortunately, Disney’s Pop Century Resort coffee shop was not open, but I found even more exciting news. Disney’s Contemporary Resort is preparing for tomorrow’s eggcellent egg display.

Monorail Monday

People strolling beneath a blue archway labeled "Magic Kingdom Monorail" are greeted by the magical sight of two monorails gliding gracefully above, reminiscent of a Disney Ornament in motion, capturing the enchantment that awaits just beyond the iconic Contemporary Resort.

The Spring Break crowds have already started to die down from the chaos that it was. It’s still pretty busy, especially for an 8 a.m. opening. I opted for the express monorail this Monday. It was fun zooming through the Contemporary Resort and seeing the “Silent Hill” spooky fog.

Good Morning from Magic Kingdom

A crowd of people, many sporting Disney shirts, strolls down a theme park street lined with shops towards a large, colorful castle in the distance at Magic Kingdom.

Good morning from a very overcast, humid day in the beautiful Magic Kingdom. I will take an overcast day any day of the week here in Lake Buena Vista. For whatever reason, I feel like the parks are always ten degrees colder in the winter and ten degrees warmer in the summer.

As you can see from my view down Main Street, the crowds are still here, but not nearly as packed together as we were last week.

Yzma and Kronk Figure – $199.00

Two views of a figurine featuring a character holding a large purple sarcophagus. The display case and box are visible on the left, revealing the character's front and back, reminiscent of a collectible you might find at Pop Century or near the gates of Magic Kingdom.

In Box Office Gifts, the shop in Town Square Theater where you can meet Mickey Mouse, I found a new figurine featuring Yzma and Kronk from “Emperor’s New Groove.” This remains one of my favorite movies, but I would be more likely to buy a figurine of Kronk with the squirrels over this.

I do hope that Yzma is featured in some notable way in the new Villain Show coming to Hollywood Studios this summer.

New Shirts in the Emporium – One Featuring the Emporium

Four images of themed shirts on display in a store, perfect for any Disney Shirt enthusiast. Clockwise from top left: white Emporium, pink Walt Disney World, black Lightning McQueen, and pink Disney World. These vibrant pieces capture the magic of Pop Century fashion effortlessly.

I found two new shirts on the Emporium t-shirt wall. The first shirt I found features none other than the Emporium itself. I’ll be honest; I find this a bit odd, but it is fun for those who know. The new Lightning McQueen shirt is really awesome. It reminds me of the old NASCAR shirts from when I was a kid. These shirts are available for $29.99 each or $24.99 when you buy two. Would you pick these two? Let me know in the comments below.

There is a new peach Spirit Jersey with a towel texture featuring a repeating Mickey flower design. There are puffy white letters in the same iconic design we have seen over and over again. It’s cute, but the towel thing is a bit strange for me. The Spirit Jersey is available for a steep $84.99.

Color Coordination – $34.99 each

Four Walt Disney World shirts in pastel colors—green, pink, orange, and yellow—are displayed in a store at Pop Century Resort.

The Emporium was ready to rock with the new looks this morning. There was also a new Walt Disney World shirt featuring the four park icons in early 2000s glitter gel. The shirt comes in four different colors: blue, pink, peach, and yellow. My favorite color option is between blue and pink; the yellow is barely legible.

Throwback Keychains – $14.99

Two keychains displayed in hand. The left has "WILDCATS" beads and a red tag reading "WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!" while the right features "ROCKSTAR" beads and a purple glitter tag with "The best of both worlds." Like keepsakes from Magic Kingdom, they capture unforgettable moments.

My final find in the Emporium made me feel like I had jumped back in time and was back on vacation with my parents. Now that you know my age demographic, I bring you “High School Musical” and “Hannah Montana” keychains. I think when these properties were released, I would’ve chosen the “High School Musical” keychain, but today, it’s the purple sparkles all the way.

Let me know which one you like more in the comments below.

“it’s a small world” Clock

A colorful ride facade at the Pop Century theme park showcases geometric patterns, a clock, and numbers 2, 51, 97, 74, and 63. Visitors wearing Disney shirts are seated in boats below.

Yeah, yeah, the three on the clock has been fixed, but since it was brought to my attention, I can’t unsee the fact that the 5 and 0 are still in 50th Anniversary gold. It was a fun touch for the celebrations, but now that it’s been a couple of years, can it all just match? It hurts my eyes (okay, I’m being dramatic).

New Ears – $34.99 each

A whimsical collage of three headbands: tiger ears with pom-poms, green sequined ears crowned by a bow, and large floppy gray ears featuring a pink lining and bow—perfect for your next visit to Magic Kingdom.

The three new ears released in the park today are 110% adorable. Eeyore and Tigger are perfect. I love that the ears include Eeyore’s tail and Tigger’s whiskers. Tinker Belle’s ears are more subtle, with a small pair of fairy wings and a cotton ball at the center of the bow.

Let me know which ear headband is your favorite in the comments below. My favorite has to be the Tigger ears. I can’t get over those whiskers.

King Triton Rant Returns

A statue of Poseidon with a trident stands majestically in front of a rustic building, reminiscent of a Disney ornament. Close-ups reveal charming details like chipped paint on the fingers and an old hole in the wooden base.

I will start by saying I am grateful he is still in his spot because overall, King Triton looks good. HOWEVER, the fingernail and the belly button being picked clean is hilarious and horrifying. Is Triton picking his own belly button? Does he come to life like in “Toy Story”? Or is this the work of naughty guest behavior over a short amount of time?

New Ornaments

Six Disney-themed ornaments displayed in hands: two with "Toy Story" characters and two with "Lady and the Tramp" scenes. One ornament depicts a "Toy Story" bear; another is a yellow candle. Perfect for evoking memories of the Magic Kingdom's enchanting moments.
  • ‘Toy Story 2’ 15th Anniversary Ornament – $26.99
  • ‘Pocahontas’ 30th Anniversary Ornament – $26.99
  • ‘Lady and the Tramp’ 70th Anniversary Ornament – $26.99

I love the Lady and Tramp ornament the most. Out of these three, I think the Pocahontas one has good intentions, but I find the moment and their positions weird.

The top images showcase a Pirates of the Caribbean skull Disney ornament, complete with menacing red glowing eyes. Below, marvel at a globe capturing an enchanting scene within, where iconic characters navigate through an adventurous vehicle journey reminiscent of the Magic Kingdom.
  • Pirates of the Caribbean Ornament – $26.99
  • “Inside Out” Ornament – $29.99

The Pirate ornament is cool and even speaks when you push a button at the top of his head. I especially love the “Inside Out” ornament. It lights up, and the balls at the base change color with the clouds, which makes for a very pretty effect.

Blue Collection

Six Disney-themed shirts are on display, featuring Mickey Mouse and various designs in blue, black, and white. Perfect for wearing during your visit to Pop Century or a magical day at Magic Kingdom.

In Star Traders in Tomorrowland, it seemed like everything had turned Stitch-inspired blue. There was an entirely new tie-dye collection featuring Mickey Mouse. My favorite is the Fantasia shirt in the center featuring the broom and Sorcerer Mickey.

  • Mickey T-Shirt – $39.99
  • Mickey Sweater – $59.99
  • Sorcerer Mickey Shirt – $34.99
  • Blue Tank Top – $31.99
  • Blue Longsleeve – $44.99

Seriously though, did someone give Sadness from “Inside Out” the final say in this design? It’s very blue.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Collage of three images: a curved waiting area, a Luggage Assistance sign on a turquoise wall, and a black Disney's Pop Century Resort sign with the number 26 above. A subtle nod to Magic Kingdom magic graces the ensemble, reminiscent of adventure awaiting just beyond.

After my morning in the Magic Kingdom, I took a bus over to Disney’s Pop Century Resort to see if the coffee stand in the food court area was complete. No such luck, the coffee shop remains behind black curtains for now, but I did see some television peaking out above being programmed.

I also found out that a small pre-COVID perk has returned in a small test. For more information, be sure to visit our website.

Guest Gifts

Collage of three images: a small bag with a note and Mickey Mouse head, a sticker with cartoon characters, and people boarding a Magic Kingdom bus, some wearing Disney shirts.

When I was leaving to head back toward the Magic Kingdom, I noticed that another guest had left a small gift behind for someone to find. I left it for the next guest, but the stickers were super cute. I find these trinkets often, and usually, they have someone’s Instagram or other social media handle, but this one was just pure.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Collage of three images: a sign reading "Caution Roadway Ahead," an empty gallery with artwork on walls, and a hand holding a pin with "C.A.U.S.E." acronym details. Like finding the perfect Disney ornament in Magic Kingdom, each piece reveals its own enchanting story.

When I made it back to Magic Kingdom, I stopped by the Contemporary and found the egg display tables all set up for tomorrow’s egg display. Tomorrow, the Contemporary, Yacht Club, and Beach Club will open their respective egg displays like the Grand Floridian did earlier this month. I am excited to explore all the displays tomorrow.

On the Pin Trading Board in Fantasia Shop, I found a cast-exclusive pin, which is always a fun find. This one is either from 2012 or 2017. The date was a bit scratched, so it was hard to read. In the comments below, let me know if you know what year the pin is from.

I hope you enjoyed our morning in Magic Kingdom and the resorts. I was shocked by all the new merchandise that was released today. My favorite merchandise find today was the Emporium shirt, closely followed by the Inside Out 10th anniversary ornament. Let me know in the comments what your favorite find is from today’s adventures.
