A stolen car chase on Monday, March 24 led to the Pixar Pals parking structure at Disneyland Resort, forcing the garage to close while police searched.
Car Chase Leads to Disneyland
According to The Orange County Register, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department received a report at 7:50 p.m. that someone had stolen a Chevy Camaro near Pacific Coast Highway and Ritz Carlton Drive.
Deputies located the car traveling at high speed on I-5. With air support, they chased the Camaro until it pulled into the Pixar Pals parking structure at around 8 p.m.
Anaheim police and the California Highway Patrol took over to search the parking structure for at least one suspect, but as many as four suspects may have been involved.
The Pixar Pals parking structure was temporarily closed during the search, and guests who had parked there could not access their vehicles. Air support also patrolled in search of the suspect or suspects.
Reports did not indicate if any suspects were caught or tracked off Disneyland Resort property.
