The image showcases a brick building with red-framed windows and steel beams protruding near the base. The structure seems to be under construction, possibly as part of an exciting new attraction, like Villain-Con Minion Blast at Universal Studios Japan.

X user @MORy_moryusj shared this picture of the Villain-Con “V” on a marquee behind walls. Predictably, it’s located in Minion Park, the Minion-themed land of Universal Studios Japan. The brick façade used to house San Francisco Candies, a Ghirardelli location. The scaffolding on the roof in MORy’s picture held the light-up “Ghirardelli” lettering.

The metal brackets on the brick wall previously held white moulding. There are also new metal brackets to the sides of the windows right behind the “V.”

Animated yellow creatures, Minions, celebrate at Universal Studios Japan's Villain-Con theme park, bursting with colorful balloons and decorations. Some engage in a playful Minion Blast while others spray paint in this lively, festive scene.

The theming of Minion Park at Universal Studios Japan provided inspiration for Minion Land at Universal Studios Florida, which opened in 2023 along with Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast. Both versions of the land feature Despicable Me Minion Mayhem. Japan also has the Freeze Ray Sliders ride.

Villain-Con at Universal Studios Florida

Villain-Con Minion Blast replaced Shrek 4D at Universal Studios Florida. It mixes a moving walkway with a shooting attraction. Guests attend Villain-Con, where they encounter some of the Villains of the “Despicable Me” franchise, including the Vicious 6. Guests can sync their scores and progress with the Universal Orlando Resort app, unlocking different achievements and challenges.
