The Fantastic Four will be alone in their respective universe (for now).

Matt Shakman, director of “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” has announced that fans shouldn’t expect to see many Marvel Easter eggs in the upcoming film set to release on July 25, 2025.
Unlike typical Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and TV shows that have featured Easter eggs teasing and referencing other works, “First Steps” will be self-contained. While Shakman knows that his characters will eventually be a part of the larger multiverse, they will be alone in their own universe for this film.
He states that,
There’s no Easter eggs. There’s no running into Iron Man or whatever. They’re it, in this universe. I love the interconnected Marvel Universe, but we get to do something so new and so different. Eventually this world will meet up with other worlds — but for now this is our own little corner.”

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” will introduce characters who will play key roles in the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars.”
Following an hour-long, rocket launch-esque countdown broadcast from the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama on YouTube, courtesy of the “Future Foundation,” Marvel Studios released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming film, which you can watch here:
Set in a 1960s retrofuture inspired by “the optimism” of the 1964 World’s Fair, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” will introduce Marvel’s First Family into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Starring Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. The Fantastic Four will be forced to defend Earth from Galactus (Ralph Ineson), a ravenous space god, and his Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner).

The film also stars Paul Walter Hauser (“Cruella,” “I, Tonya”), John Malkovich (“Being John Malkovich,” “In the Line of Fire”), Natasha Lyonne (“Orange Is the New Black,” “Russian Doll”), and Sarah Niles (“I May Destroy You,” “Ted Lasso”).
“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is directed by Matt Shakman (“WandaVision”), produced by Kevin Feige, and executive produced by Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis. Michael Giacchino composes the film’s score, and has previously worked with both Marvel and Disney on scores for films including “Doctor Strange,” “Thor: Love and Thunder,” “The Incredibles,” “Ratatouille,” “Up,” “Inside Out,” “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” and “Coco.”
