Guests can meet the witches of “Wicked” during Universal Fan Fest Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, although Elphaba and Glinda do not meet together.
‘Wicked’ Meet and Greets
Guests can meet the witches on the Upper Lot outside the Universal Studios Store. Glinda and Elphaba alternate appearances in front of a flat inspired by the circular window Elphaba flies through during the famous “Defying Gravity” number. The “Wicked” logo is on a pink and green translucent piece in front of the set. Elphaba appears in her black witch’s outfit with her broomstick while Glinda wears her pink bubble gown.
Glinda and Elphaba previously met together at Universal Studios Florida in Wicked: The experience. They’re appearing at Universal Studios Japan during the “Wicked” Celebration through the end of 2025.
The first “Wicked” film, an adaptation of the first act of the Broadway musical, was released last winter. The sequel, “Wicked: For Good,” will be in theaters on November 21, 2025. The stage musical debuted in 2003 and is itself based on the 1995 novel “Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West” by Gregory Maguire. The novel retells the story of “The Wizard of Oz,” drawing from the original 1900 novel by L. Frank Baum and the 1939 film adaptation, which was the first to depict the Wicked Witch of the West as green.
