To celebrate the Japanese release of “Wicked,” guests at Universal Studios Japan can enjoy a variety of offerings, including a new meet and greet with Elphaba and Glinda.
Wicked Celebration at Universal Studios Japan
These new offerings mark the first time in 14 years that “Wicked” has had a presence in Universal Studios Japan. The park once had a Land of Oz, complete with Munchkinland and The Emerald City, as well as a shortened version of the “Wicked” Broadway show. The mini-land was open to guests from 2006 to 2011.
Elphaba and Glinda Meet and Greet

Elphaba and Glinda are meeting guests now through December 31, though the number of greetings and times can vary throughout the day. They can be found in the Hollywood section of the park, just outside of Universal Studio Select, where the UNI VRS apparel and accessories can be purchased, and the ride exit of the Hollywood Dream.

‘Wicked’ Merchandise
Wicked merchandise can also be found inside Universal Studio Select, offering a range of apparel and accessories.
During our visit, six apparel items and two accessories were available.
This white T-shirt features the silhouettes of Elphaba and Glinda, specifically from the sequel “Wicked: For Good,” along with the “Wicked” wordmark in green.
This long-sleeved shirt features a bright green illustration of Emerald City, with the city’s name in gold near the neckline.
A cream-colored sweatshirt features an illustration of Glinda and Elphaba standing together in front of the Emerald City, with art of the Wizard’s hot air balloon, Munchkinland, and more.
A black T-shirt version of the white silhouette shirt above is also available.
This crop T-shirt features the “Wicked” wordmark with different patterns for each letter.
This dopp kit pouch is black and has the “Wicked” wordmark embroidered on the front, along with screen-printed art and iconography inspired by the film.
A tote bag featuring the same art as the cream sweatshirt is also available.
The final piece of apparel is a black zip-up hoodie with contrasting green drawstrings, featuring the “Wicked” wordmark in white and “Defy Gravity” in green.
A black stainless steel tumbler wit the “Wicked” wordmark is also available.
We also found a keychain on a long gold chair, featuring charms of the “Wicked” wordmark with varying patterns of pink and green, and a charm of Elphaba and Glinda.
‘Wicked’ Churro
A new churro inspired by Elphaba and Glinda is also available, and can be purchased from the food cart in front of Universal Monsters Live: Rock and Roll Show.

The churro is covered in pink and green icing, covered in crushed peanuts, and is peanut butter-flavored.
In addition to these offerings, Universal Studios Japan is also offering a special exhibit with replica costumes and props from “Wicked,” including the costumes of The Wizard of Oz and Madame Morrible.
“Wicked” Celebration runs now through December 31 at Universal Studios Japan, and will coincide with the eventual release of “Wicked: For Good” in November.
