Location
Exterior
Constellation Carousel sits on one of the lakes of Celestial Park. It has a large domed roof lined with lights. At the top center of the roof is a pegasus figure.
A tall tower with the illuminated letters of “Constellation” is next to the entrance. “Carousel” is on the entrance overhang.
The wait time is posted atop the warning sign to the left of the entrance.
Queue
The queue is under a second, smaller dome. It’s a series of switchbacks made of railings and chains. Lights hang above.
Guests waiting in the queue can see out into Celestial Park as well as into Constellation Carousel as it runs.
Before riding Constellation Carousel, you can enjoy it as a show. The music rotates with each ride experience. The ceiling, floor, and seats glow with changing star-like lights.
Instead of a central console all the way down the center of the room, the carousel has a large chandelier element with fluctuating bands of gold that hang down from the ceiling. Dots of light fan out from it like rays from the sun.
There are large circular golden frames with spinning elements. Smaller star-shaped chandeliers hang between these. Beyond the lights and gold elements is a dark ceiling with white dots.
Each animal-shaped seat or car is on a golden pole topped with a planet-shaped lamp. Some of the planets have rings.
The colorful carousel animals are inspired by constellations. They include bears, lions, rams, and bulls. A swan, peacock, pegasus, and dragon pull the double-sized seats for guests who don’t want to mount a creature.
Ride Experience
We hopped aboard the lion for our ride through the constellations. The animals do have seatbelts and stirrups.
Like we said, the music changes, and the lights sync to the music. So your experience will be different from what you see while waiting.
Returning guests will likely get a few unique Constellation Carousel experiences.
