REVIEW: Peanut Butter Whiskey and Cinnamon Whiskey Caramel Apples from Karamell-Kuche

Karamell-Kuche in the Germany Pavilion has debuted two caramel apples with flavors inspired by whiskey.

A German-style building with a red-tiled roof and timber details stands proudly, enticing visitors. People stroll past the open entrance under a sign, where the aroma of cinnamon whiskey mingles with caramel apples fills the air. A bright, partly cloudy sky adds to the charm overhead.

Karamell-Kuche is found in the Germany Pavilion at EPCOT. The store is known for its many treats utilizing Werther’s Original caramel, and some of the most famous items at the shop are the selection of specialty caramel apples.

Three caramel apples are displayed with price tags, including a peanut butter whiskey variant and an Easter bunny Minnie Mouse creation. Each apple is beautifully decorated and labeled as made with Werther’s Original.

The store recently debuted two new caramel apple flavors, both of which are inspired by whiskey. One apple is peanut butter whiskey, and the other apple is cinnamon whiskey. A Cast Member confirmed for us that the whiskey is just a flavoring added to the caramel before the apples are dipped, and they contain no actual alcohol.

Two caramel apples with orange ribbons, accompanied by a hint of cinnamon whiskey, are packaged in clear plastic holders on a black metal table outdoors. Colorful flowers and trees provide a vibrant backdrop.

The apples come in individual plastic containers for carrying them around the park. The color of the ribbon bow attached to the stick is different for each flavor. The lighter orange bow is the cinnamon whiskey apple, and the darker orange bow is the peanut butter whiskey apple.

Peanut Butter Whiskey Caramel Apple – $13.99

A hand holds a caramel apple with an orange ribbon above a colorful garden, where a green plant sculpture stands in the background. This delightful treat captures the sweetness of autumn, evoking memories of spiced cider and perhaps even a splash of cinnamon whiskey.

The peanut butter and whiskey flavors do come through the sweet caramel, though the taste is slight for those who don’t want too much of an alcohol presence. However, the apple has no other decoration and does not actually contain genuine alcohol, making the high price hard to justify. The other seasonal apples at Walt Disney World often have chocolate ears, sprinkles, and more details.

Cinnamon Whiskey Caramel Apple – $13.99

The other apple has a stronger cinnamon flavor, though the whiskey is still only mild. Like the peanut butter apple, it is hard to justify this higher price for a plain apple with no added decorations. As an added point, the caramel is relatively soft compared to some of the other snacks in Karamell-Kuche. In the hot Florida sun, the whiskey caramel slides right off the apple and onto your hands. It is tasty, but way too expensive and messy.
