The Disney Resort Line at Tokyo Disney Resort will introduce tickets with QR codes this summer.
Disney Resort Line QR Tickets
Single tickets and day passes with QR codes on the backs will be distributed beginning on July 28, 2025. In July 2026, Disney Resort Line will completely switch to QR code tickets. Guests will still be able to use nationwide IC cards.
The video from Tokyo Disney Resort below describes how to use the QR code tickets, by tapping them at the ticket gates to enter and leave a station.
The Disney Resort Line is operated by the Maihama Resort Line Company, Ltd., a subsidiary of The Oriental Land Company, which owns and operates Tokyo Disney Resort. The Monorail line connects the resort to Maihama Station, which is on the Keiyō Line from Tokyo and the Musashino Line from Fuchūhommachi. Maihama Station is operated by the East Japan Railway Company.
There are four stations along the Disney Resort Line: Resort Gateway, Tokyo Disneyland, Bayside, and Tokyo DisneySea. Trains stop at all the stations in one loop, which takes approximately 13 minutes in total. It operates with five type C trains, introduced from 2020 to 2024. Their colors are yellow, pink, blue, purple, and green.
Trains are sometimes decorated for holidays and special events, like the Duffy and Friends 20th: Colorful Happiness celebration. Themed day passes are also offered, and guests can keep the tickets as souvenirs.
